Boards associated with the Kansas Historical Society:
State Records Board - oversees the preservation of important state records and the orderly disposition of other state records
Historical Records Advisory Board (KSHRAB) - advisory body for historical records planning and preservation in Kansas, including promoting the activities of the National Historical Publications and Records Commission and reviewing proposals to be carried out with NHPRC funding
Unmarked Burial Sites Preservation Board (UBS) - develops procedures for the protection of unmarked burials in the state and makes decisions on the management and treatment of individual sites
Antiquities Commission - professional archeologists who review reports and requests for controlled scientific excavation of archeological sites on government-owned land
Historic Sites Board of Review - a group of 11 professionals from various fields that meets quarterly to review and recommend nominations to the National Register of Historic Places and the Register of Historic Kansas Places
Kansas Historical Foundation - the 501(c)(3) organization that helps support the work of the state agency
