Red Rocks - Plan your visit

William Allen White was a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, editor of The Emporia Gazette, and political adviser to presidents. He and his wife, Sallie, hosted five presidents at Red Rocks including, Theodore Roosevelt. Their son, William Lindsay White, was a well-known radio broadcaster and later an editor of the Gazette. They connected with famous people like H. G. Wells and Albert Einstein. You're in good company when you visit Red Rocks. Named one of the 8 Wonders of Kansas People.

Hours

  • April through October
    11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Thursday - Saturday
  • Open for special events throughout winter
  • Closed state holidays

Admission

  • $5 adults; $3 students; Kansas Historical Foundation members and children five and under admitted free
  • Portions ADA accessible

Admission for tour groups

  • April - October: For groups of more than 10, we request two weeks prior notice. Last tour begins at 4:30 p.m.
