Records Retention and Disposition Schedules

What is a retention schedule?
Kansas State Records Board approved retention schedules establish the retention and disposition requirements for records generated by Kansas state and local government. Compliance with these retention schedules is mandatory for state agencies and county governments, although not for other local government such as cities or townships. The General Schedule includes records common to all agencies, while the agency-specific schedule is a customized schedule addressing a single agency's or office's records. (Read more...)
