American Top 40 icon Casey Kasem, who carved out a lucrative side career providing the voice of Shaggy in the Scooby-Doo franchise, died early Sunday after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 82.
Kasem’s daughter, Kerri, shared the news on Twitter. “Early this Father’s Day morning, our dad Casey Kasem passed away surrounded by family and friends,” she wrote. “Even though we know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, we are heartbroken. We’re nearing the end of Orphan Black‘s sophomore season — nooo! — and this Saturday’s episode brought us a Helena showdown and one step closer toward saving Cosima.
Last week’s trans outing got some criticism in the comments, but for me, this was the first episode of the season that didn’t quite work. It wasn’t bad — because even a less-than-successful episode of Orphan Black is still an interesting one — but it didn’t have the momentum and progress you’d expect from a penultimate hour.

Thus far on Fox’s 24: Live Another Day (Mondays at 9/8c), events have, as is tradition, “occurred in real time” — meaning, only seven hours have elapsed to date, with 17 more to pass across five more episodes.
But every one of those 17 hours will be accounted for by the time the finale fades to black on July 14, executive producer Howard Gordon confirmed for TVLine during a Friday conference call.
