Job Details

The Hispanic Publicist will be responsible for all aspects of local and regional based publicity efforts on the west coast and southwestern markets including Hispanic broadcast, print, radio and online. This role reports directly to the VP of Publicity and Promotions, but will also work closely with the promotions department on regional media promotions and screenings. Publicist will work closely with our top entertainment industry clients and major studios to meet their objectives for success. Great Hispanic press contacts, writing and communication skills are a must. Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish is highly recommended. Spanish is a big plus.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience doing entertainment publicity. Agency or studio experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Hispanic media, trends & audiences
  • Great press contacts with the proven ability to pitch and deliver publicity breaks.
  • Outstanding verbal and writing skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and stay cool under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task while keeping an eye on achieving big picture goals
  • Detail-oriented with an eye towards perfection
  • Creative, outside the box thinker and problem solver

 Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and brainstorm new and innovative publicity campaign ideas
  • Pitch and secure interviews and feature stories with Hispanic entertainment outlets (broadcast, print, radio and online)
  • Create press releases and service for coverage
  • Pitch stories and garner media coverage (includes planning, research and brainstorming angles for coverage)
  • Service press material for coverage (EPK, press releases, etc.)
  • Assist coordination of junkets including inviting, confirming press attendance and coverage
  • Capture and report publicity breaks to clients on a regular basis
  • Continually develop and maintain strong media/press contacts
  • Work with promotions team to obtain TV, print and online promotions
