Ground Transportation from Charleston Int'l Airport (CHS) to Charleston Marriott:

Airport Shuttle (shared ride): approximately $14 per person (one-way). From the airport terminal building, exit the baggage claim area, then cross the street and go to the taxi/shuttle stand. Shared-ride shuttles are provided by multiple companies but they charge the same fee. The shuttles depart about every 15 minute. No reservation is required.
Taxi: $28 estimated taxi fare for one-way, up to 2 people (an additional fee of $14 per person from the 3rd passenger).

From Charleston International Airport (CHS): Approximately 17 minutes drive (12 miles / 19 km) from Charleston International Airport.

Exit airport onto International Blvd.
Take International Blvd to Montague Ave.
Turn Left on Montague Ave to I-26 East.
Take I-26 East to exit 221A (Hwy 17 South) toward Savannah.
Hwy 17 becomes Spring Street.
Take Spring Street to Lockwood Blvd.
Take right unto Lockwood Blvd. Charleston Marriott (Tel 1-843-723-3000) is on the right, 4 blocks ahead.

From the north or south, Charleston can be reached by car via U.S. Highway 17, which cuts across the Charleston peninsula.

From the west, take Interstate 26, which terminates just northwest of the historic downtown at U.S. 17.

(The outer beltway Interstate 526 forms a loop from U.S. 17 to the Charleston International Airport.)
