Ladies, R.Kelly Wants To Get You ‘Pregnant’!

R.-Kelly-Untitled

By Chiagoziem Onyekwena

If there is one thing we know about Robert Kelly, it’s that the 42 year old R&B giant loves him some sex.

Sex in the kitchen. Sex in the zoo. Sex in the closet. Sex with some weed. It doesn’t matter much to the virile Kels, he wears his libido on his sleeve. It therefore comes as no surprise then, that the result of all that freakiness would be Kels getting his lover(s) Pregnant, and he certainly doesn’t mind.

Girl you make me wanna get you pregnant, Lay your body down and get you pregnant, Knock you up, pregnant, Knock you up – R Kelly Pregnant (ft. the Dream, Tyrese, Robin Thicke)

Now, all that good ole seed dissemination is good and fine in my book. I mean after all, Kels is a grown-ass man, plus he’s finally freed himself from the ‘shackles’ of his almost 13 year-old marriage this year; the man is certainly allowed to knock just about anybody up… Well, that is as long as she isn’t below the legal age.

And if his track record is any indication, Kelly isn’t exactly averse to breaking the law every once in a while just to get him ‘some’.

So, you might wonder why we pencilled December 1, World’s AIDS Day to, as we say around here, ‘table R.Kelly’s matter?’ The answer is really simple – R.Kelly chose to release his brand new album titled Untitled, no pun intended, today (December 1st). And when a school of fish consciously swim into the path of a hungry shark that was minding its own business, the fish simply cannot blame their Creator for the outcome.

Of his entire nine album catalogue, Untitled is undoubtedly R.Kelly’s most uncertain album to date. Even though his successful visit to Nigeria in July may have reminded R.Kelly that he still has fans that would ride for him even in deep murky waters, the fact remains that the backbone of R.Kelly’s support system is in his home country and right now, it is standing on extremely shaky ground.

His last studio album Double Up went platinum, if Untitled amasses even as much as a quarter of Double Up’s sales total, it would be deemed a massive success.

Besides, unprotected sex isn’t exactly the world’s favourite topic right now and releasing a song like Pregnant a mere week before World’s AIDS Day makes me wonder whether Kelly truly understands the gravity of the sexual allegations his critics continue to level against him.

R.Kelly’s paedophilia case deeply hurt so many people, and until he properly addresses the issue and/or takes a break from creating the type of music that would allow people to even as much as loosely infer to his infamous trial, the King of R&B quite simply may not be forgiven.

R.Kelly’s Untitled is currently on iTunes.
