Q: How do I send a record or song to you?
A: We prefer not to receive unsolicited physical promos—better for the environment, less waste. Many of our writers and editors have their email addresses listed on their respective contributor pages, which are linked from the staff page. Note that we cannot respond to emails about whether promos or promo emails arrived.
Q: Who do I email if I want to write for Pitchfork?
Email us with: 1) a word about yourself and your areas of musical expertise; 2) a list of some of your favorite albums and tracks from the past few years; and 3) links to your work (no attachments). We are most interested in reviews and critical pieces, whether written for another publication or your own blog or website. We can't respond to individual emails but if we're interested we'll be in touch.
