Wilco's Jeff Tweedy Makes Fun of Folk Music on

Wilco's Jeff Tweedy made an appearance on last night's episode of IFC's "Portlandia", where he hit the studio to record a new song. As he plays, label executives played by Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein pepper him with questions about whether he really lived the weary life he's singing about. When it's clear he hasn't, they push him in a more honest direction. Watch the skit below, via Stereogum.

This season of "Portlandia" also featured Fred Armisen "mansplaining" music equipment to St. Vincent and TV on the Radio's Tunde Adebimpe helping out a date fact-checker.
