Sex Pistols/PiL's John Lydon to Star in "Jesus Christ Superstar" With Destiny's Child, 'NSync, Incubus Members

A new touring production of "Jesus Christ Superstar", the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical about the final days of Jesus Christ, has been announced. Bizarrely/amazingly, it'll feature Sex Pistols and Public Image Ltd. singer John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten) in the role of King Herod, as The New York Times points out.
Additionally, Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams will star as Mary Magdalene, while Incubus singer Brandon Boyd will play Judas Iscariot and 'NSync's JC Chasez will play Pontius Pilate. (Unknown reality show winner Ben Forster will play Jesus.) The show will tour in arenas across North America starting on June 9. Dates here.
