The Orwells Announce New Album Disgraceland, Share "Let It Burn" Video

Chicago's the Orwells follow up their two EPs and 2012 album Remember When with their new LP. Disgraceland is out June 3 via Canvasback/Atlantic. It includes tracks produced by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek, Chris Coady (Beach House, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Grizzly Bear), and Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys). Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks–the new band featuring the Animal Collective member, ex-Dirty Projectors member Angel Deradoorian and ex-Ponytail drummer Jeremy Hyman–have shared another track from their forthcoming debut Enter the Slasher House, out April 8 in the U.S. and April 7 internationally via Domino. In support of their great new album Atlas, Real Estate played the Fonda Theater in L.A. on March 11. Kevin Morby and the Shilohs opened. They all took the stage together at one point for a cover of Neil Young's classic "Only Love Can Break Your Heart". (They were also joined by Corey Cunningham of Terry Malts, who was celebrating his birthday). "It's pretty ramshackle, as it should be," Real Estate wrote on Twitter.

Along with Divine Fits, Spoon frontman Britt Daniel also plays in another side project, Split Single. The band is led by Jason Narducy (ex-Verbow, also of Bob Mould's band) with Superchunk/Mountain Goats drummer Jon Wurster. They release their debut album Fragmented World on April 1.
