AMC Developing TV Show About Billy Corgan's Pro Wrestling League Resistance Pro

"Breaking Bad" is over and "Mad Men" is about to begin its final season, so AMC is looking for the next big thing. Enter Billy Corgan: Variety reports that AMC is developing an unscripted show about Resistance Pro, the pro wrestling league that he helped start in 2011.

Nick Harmer, the original bassist for Death Cab for Cutie (above, left), is probably feeling great today following the Seahawks' Super Bowl victory. BoingBoing points to these photos of a giant portrait of Seahawks star running back Marshawn Lynch created very lovingly and painstakingly out of Skittles. (Lynch is a big fan of Skittles and has a new contract as a Skittles spokesman). I hope Harmer ate them all in celebration. (More photos of the impressive portrait here.)

The Numero Group are readying a hard rock compilation called Warfaring Strangers: Darkscorch Canticles, which collects tracks from obscure 1970s rock bands, inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, Tolkien, and other mythical, wizardly things. Listen to two tracks above
And get this: You can buy it with its own companion D&D-style board game called Cities of Darkscorch. The compilation is out March 4, while the board game will be released May 30.

Fan Claims Arcade Fire/Pearl Jam Basketball Game Broke His Nose

Here's a goofy news item from this weekend's Auckland installment of the Big Day Out Festival: Pearl Jam fan Sherif Hassan says he got his nose broken during a particularly rough game of pick-up basketball that included Arcade Fire's Win Butler and Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament. In an interview with Triple J radio (via NME), Hassan said: "[Jeff Ament's] aggressive, I'll tell you that much. He broke my nose."

As we learned earlier this week, Macaulay Culkin, the child star of "Home Alone" fame, has found a way to combine the two. He has a band called the Pizza Underground that covers the classic VU catalogue and other Lou Reed songs... but all of the songs are about pizza.
