Lower Sign to Matador for Debut LP Seek Warmer Climes, Share "Lost Weight, Perfect Skin"

The Walkmen's Hamilton Leithauser Releases "11 O'Clock Friday Night" Video, Updates Tour, Pushes Back Album

The Walkmen's Hamilton Leithauser has moved back the release date of his upcoming solo record, Black Hours. Now, it'll be out on June 3 instead of May 6, via Ribbon Music. In addition, he's adjusted his touring schedule, postponing some dates and adding others, some of which are in support of Ray LaMontagne.

Sharon Van Etten Reads the Tarot in Video For "Taking Chances"

Sharon Van Etten will follow up 2012's Tramp with Are We There on May 27 in the U.S. and May 26 in the UK (via Jagjaguwar). Today, she's shared a video for her recent single "Taking Chances", directed by Michael Palmieri. The clip has a mystical, beatnik vibe to it, and finds Van Etten clad in a black turtleneck, doing tarot and palm readings. It was inspired by the Agnès Varda film Cleo From 5 to 7. Following his excellent 2012 album Total Loss, Tom Krell is back with a new How to Dress Well album. "What Is This Heart?" is out June 24 in the U.S. and June 23 internationally via Weird World. Earlier this week, it seemed that Spiritualized frontman Jason Pierce was not totally fond of Space Project, a space-themed compilation he contributed to for Record Store Day. In conversation with NME, Pierce explained his issues with the concept—"There's so much crap about how they did it"–and said he only contributed because he's currently "flat broke."

Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor has announced his latest solo LP, Await Barbarians. It's the follow-up to 2008's Rubbed Out, hitting shelves June 10 via Domino. Taylor performed and recorded all the instruments on the record himself, save strings. He's also shared a lyric video for album cut "Elvis Has Left the Building." Drake Shares New Song "Days in the East"

Yesterday, Drake premiered his new, Lauryn Hill-sampling song “Draft Day”. Now, just a day later, the rapper has shared “Days in the East” via October's Very Own. Produced by PARTYNEXTDOOR and featuring co-production from frequent collaborator Noah "40” Shebib, the track is a full version of a new song Drake debuted in Birmingham, England last month, known previously as “Call on Me". At one point, he recalls a visit with R&B royalty: “Remember one night I went to Erykah Badu's house/She made tea for me." Listen below.

Ultra Music Festival Conducting Security Review Following Guard's Trampling

During this year's Ultra Music Festival in Miami, 28-year-old Erica Mack was trampled by gate crashers while working as a security guard. As a result, Miami Mayor Tomás Regalado and other city officials have called for an end to the festival. Today, the festival has issued a statement promising a comprehensive review of their security measures.
