Thea Green MBE, is the next guest speaker at our Business Connections event in May 2014. 

Thea is founder and managing director of nails inc, the UK’s leading nail brand. 

Founded in 1999, the idea for nails inc came about when Thea was 24 years old. She was working as a fashion editor in London, making regular trips to New York, and spotted a gap in the UK market for professional, yet fast and affordable manicures.

Today, nails inc operates 59 branded salons throughout the UK, employs more than 400 people and successfully exports its products to more than 30 countries worldwide. 

Thea has won a number of business awards, including Entrepreneur of the Year 2010, the Retail and Consumer Award at the 2011 First Women Awards, and the Queen’s award for Enterprise in International trade. In 2011, Thea was awarded an MBE for her services to the beauty industry.
