Matt Harvey is going home -- at least for now. The Mets injured ace, who publicly feuded with the front office over the conditions of his rehab, met with the team this week. They have made a plan that will allow him to do his rehab work back in New York City, where the 25-year old makes his home, a team source confirmed.

Best way for Jax to change Knick culture is to coach himself
Phil Jackson may turn out to be a champion as a front-office guy the way he was a champion in the NBA as a coach. Because of his beliefs and presence and status in the sport, he may well hire the right coach and right general manager eventually and recruit the right players and make the Knicks at least a title contender again for the first time in 14 years.

Mets can't afford to muzzle Matt Harvey
It really doesn’t matter if Matt Harvey’s ego is so huge that he has to keep his mouth in the game while his arm is on ice. Harvey’s motives for flapping his yap should not matter. Especially to Sandy Alderson. Or anyone else in the Mets organization who has a problem with the verbal stylings of Chief Running Mouth.

Just watching the games is not easy to do
Bill Parcells left his seat in his private box at home games three or four times in the slightly more than two seasons he spent running the Dolphins. I’m the type of guy that creates a spreadsheet to fill out his March Madness bracket. The type that consults my copy of ‘The Book,’ a sabermetric bible of sorts, to look up base-run scenarios when I’m pretty sure the sacrifice bunt I just witnessed makes no sense.
