If you are interested in a position that is not currently listed on the Job Opportunities page, you may fill out a job interest card.

Job interest cards are filed by the job title, so a separate interest card must be filled out for each position you are interested in being notified about should a recruitment be opened.

Job interest cards are held on file for at least one year. During that period, if a recruitment is opened up for the position, you will be notified that application materials are being accepted at that time.

After you have submitted job interest information, please remember to notify us if your contact information changes, so we can update your card(s) on file.

PLEASE NOTE: the job interest card is not an application for employment. The City of Arcata maintains the Interest Card system in an effort to find individuals who have an interest in working for the City and as a courtesy to prospective applicants. While the City of Arcata makes every effort to ensure proper and timely notification of job openings, completing a job interest card does not guarantee notification. Prospective applicants with an interest in working for the City should also frequently check the Job Opportunities page to ensure they learn of new openings.
