Prickly Love: Echidnas Caught Mating
Feb. 8, 2014—Never-before-published footage shows the mating rituals of echidnas—spiny mammals native to Australia that lay eggs. Echidna researcher and National Geographic grantee Stewart Nicol describes the video, which shows three males actively pursuing a female on a farm in Victoria, Australia.
Mammoths? Are you kidding me. First of all Mammoths were extinct from the Ice Age. Not by unscrupulous hands. Neangoda you need to read up on Mammoths before you talk about them. We all know that we need to preserve the habitat of these animals. But at least get your facts straight.
Whether it be tigers in India or elephants in Sri Lanka , their habitat has to be preserved and they should be safeguarded from the danger of poachers. Just , legislation alone is insufficient. Peoples organizations have to take a leading role; awareness programs have to be mounted to enlist support for constructive action. It is indeed a pity to see these magnificent creatures dying at the hands of the unscrupulous. Their plight should not be that of the mammoths.Lets join hands to save them.
Neangoda
Animals are not promiscuous. They do not have a soul. Only human beings can be promiscuous.
