Third St., Little Rock, and apparently his entire business, posting Monday morning “Closed for good” on his Facebook page (facebook.com/hotdogmike); “CLOSED for good (not a joke or publicity stunt)” on his website, hotdogmike.com; and, on Twitter, “Closed for good. ZaZa Fine Salad & Wood Oven Pizza Co. co-owner Scott McGehee says the Heights location, 5600 Kavanaugh Blvd., Little Rock, is shutting down Sunday after lunch for “an 11-day, Restaurant Impossible-style full renovation” (a reference to the TV show where a celebrity chef completely remakes an eatery that has been on the skids).

Jan. 5 was the last operating day for the Johnny Carino’s, aka Carino’s Italian Grill, in the western spur of the Pleasant Ridge Town Center, 11610 Pleasant Ridge Drive, off Cantrell Road, Little Rock. The telephone number — (501) 225-3434 — apparently hasn’t been disconnected, but it has been putting out a constant busy signal for more than a week.
