Although their show has been off the air since this past May, costars Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty will have a mini-"Smash" reunion on a comedy web show, with hints at their performances being musical.

In the announcement for "It Could Be Worse," McPhee and Hilty are shown in an Instagram video sight-reading the lyrics to Lorde's "Royals." Watch the ten-second clip of the two starlets below. Warning: prepare to beg for more.

It's not yet known when in Season 2 of "It Could Be Worse" McPhee and Hilty will make their appearance, or what roles they'll take. "It Could Be Worse" stars "Smash" alum Wesley Taylor (Bobby, Seasons 1 and 2) as Jacob, a Broadway wannabe looking to make it big in a New York minute. Although he was cast in his first big Broadway show, he's often stuck at home tending to a needy long-term boyfriend, or is held back by his overbearing parents. »

'Blue Bloods' biggest audience since series premiere

2 hours ago | EW - Inside TV | See recent EW.com - Inside TV news »

CBS’ Blue Bloods ratings jumped to the crime drama’s biggest audience since its series premiere.

The Tom Selleck drama series had 12.8 million viewers — an impressive haul for a Friday night — marking the best viewership for the show since it debuted in 2010. The 18-49 rating wasn’t too shabby either, matching the show’s season high. CBS also had season highs for Hawaii Five-0 and Undercover Boss. CBS might have been helped by NBC’s dark dramas being replaced by Dateline this week.

Also Friday: Shark Tank (7.4 million) ruled the night (though didn’t top last week’s record), The »

R.I.P. Leonard Hirshan

2 hours ago | Deadline TV | See recent Deadline TV news »

Manager Leonard Hirshan, who represented Clint Eastwood from his days in television to his turn as a multi-Academy Award-winning filmmaker, died on January 31 at his home in Beverly Hills. The cause of death for the longtime former William Morris agent was Merkel cell carcinoma. He was 86. Hirshan was a longtime William Morris agent — he spent 50 years at the agency. He represented Elvis with Colonel Tom Parker, Walter Matthau, Sophia Loren, Eva Marie Saint, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Edward G. Robinson. He passed away with his two daughters, Karen Hirshan and Sarah Dey Hirshan, by his side. He and Eastwood were close and have what is likely the longest business relationship in Hollywood; they celebrated birthdays together; they were there for each others’ marriages; and Hirshan celebrated Eastwood’s triumphs such as when the filmmaker won Best Picture and Best Director for Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby and even traveled overseas »

‘Tonight Show With Jay Leno’ & ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’ Hit Highs On Leno’s Final Friday

3 hours ago | Deadline TV | See recent Deadline TV news »

There will be a lot of NBC late-night lasts and highs over the next few days as Jay Leno wraps his second and likely final turn on The Tonight Show and Jimmy Fallon prepares to succeed him. Last night was the final Friday edition of The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, which bows out February 6, with both Tonight and Late Night posting big ratings. Despite lower viewership levels on Friday, Tonight Show scored a 3.9 in metered-market households, a season high and its best result in 15 months; since Wednesday, October 24, 2012 when President Obama was a guest (4.0). It was the highest Friday Tonight rating since July 27, 2012, the night of the London Olympics Opening Ceremony (4.0). Leno boosted his successor, with Late Night With Jimmy Fallon logging a 2.2 in households, the show’s highest rating for any night of the week in four years, since February 12, 2010, the night of the Vancouver Olympics Opening Ceremony »

'And the Oscar Goes to ...': Academy Awards history with George Clooney, Tom Hanks

3 hours ago | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Everybody knows Oscar, but they may not know his whole story.

That background is explored when Turner Classic Movies launches its annual "31 Days of Oscar" festival - consisting of films that either have won or been nominated for Academy Awards - with a new documentary titled "And the Oscar Goes to ..." Saturday, Feb. 1. Rare footage is a highlight of the program, including clips from some of the earliest ceremonies to honor a year's achievements in cinema.

Expectedly since the program is on TCM, and also since he's a longtime documenter of Hollywood whose book "85 Years of the Oscar: The Official History of the Academy Awards" was published recently, main channel host Robert Osborne is among the interviewees.

"There's footage in this that people haven't seen for years, so it's going to be great fun for them, I think," Osborne, who was the official greeter of celebrities on the Oscar red carpet for several years, »

Leno ratings spike for Obama visit

3 hours ago | EW - Inside TV | See recent EW.com - Inside TV news »

President Obama may have had disappointing ratings for his State of the Union Address, but viewers flocked to watch him on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show.

Friday’s Tonight delivered its best overnight rating (a 3.9) since 2012, the biggest for the late-night program since Leno had a huge lead-in from the London Olympics Opening Ceremony. The visit from the president didn’t stop Leno from making an Obama joke during his monologue that night: “Ratings for President Obama’s State of the Union Address were the lowest in 14 years. The speech drew 33 million people, which is still pretty good considering it was a rerun. »

Seth Meyers leaves 'Saturday Night Live': Relive his best moments

It's on to greener pastures for Seth Meyers, as the current "Weekend Update" co-anchor and head writer of "Saturday Night Live" readies to depart his post after 13 years to take over "Late Night" on Feb. 24.

But before he does, the funnyman has one final show to see through on Saturday (Feb. 1). In anticipation of Meyers' "SNL" swan song, it's time to take a look back at some of the shining moments from his tenure on the long-running sketch show -- both onscreen and as a writer.

'Patriotic Briefs'

Meyers' first sketch appearance ever came in the show's second post-9/11 show, in a bit that gently mocked the intense displays of patriotism in the following days. The star is, without a doubt, Will Ferrell and his bare behind, but Meyers gets in a few pretty funny reaction shots.

Ratings Rat Race: CBS’ Lineup Posts Highs, ‘Carrie Diaries’ Inches Up In Finale

4 hours ago | Deadline TV | See recent Deadline TV news »

There was a lot of movement last night. CBS returned to originals, with all programs exceeding their most recent deliveries. Undercover Boss (1.7) continues to show resilience, up a tenth from its last original two weeks ago and drawing its largest audience (9.23 million) in a year. The reality series was also up when it returned from a monthlong hiatus two weeks ago only to be pre-empted again last Friday. The lack of drama competition on NBC boosted CBS’ procedurals. Hawaii Five-0 (1.7, up 13%, 11.13 million) posted season highs in 18-49 and total viewers. CBS would love to see those numbers at 10 Pm on Monday where Hawaii‘s successors Hostages and Intelligence have grossly underperformed. Blue Bloods (1.6, up 14%, 12.79 million) delivered its largest audience since the series premiere three and a half years ago. CBS won the night in total viewers (11.05) but was edged by ABC (1.7 to 1.6) in adults 18-49, which was paced again by »

"Pretty Little Liars" is taking viewers on an adventure back in time for the Feb. 11 episode "Shadow Play." Check out this behind-the-scenes video of the cast and writer/director Joseph Dougherty discussing the making the film noir episode.

"In this episode, Spencer has been going through many a sleepless night, fueled by Adderall, and she's trying desperately trying to figure out whether or not Ezra's 'A,'" says Troian Bellisario. "She goes to take another pill to keep up all night and she loses touch completely with her own reality and wakes up in a new reality and that is her life, noir-ified, if I can just make up that word.

Shay Mitchell adds that everything about the episode is gorgeous: "You could literally stop it at any point and blow it up on a big poster and it's going to be stunning," while Dougherty says the stylized effort is »

Bill Murray soars on David Letterman as Peter Pan -- Video

Bill Murray was in New York last night in advance of the Super Bowl, to promote his movie The Monuments Men, and of course, to campaign for the role of Peter Pan. Visiting his ol’ pal, David Letterman, Murray made an  entrance that would’ve made Mary Martin proud — or broken her heart. Dressed in green — though looking more like Friar Tuck than Pan — and flying above the stage, Murray made his plea to NBC to star in its next live-musical. “I feel like this is my moment,” Murray said. “They’re thinking about re-staging Peter Pan, and I’m the guy. »

Tim Tebow riffs on losing NFL contract in T-Mobile Super Bowl ads - Watch

Tim Tebow's dream may have been to be a starting quarterback in the NFL, but he's not too bummed that the dream's over. At least, not according to his new T-Mobile Super Bowl ads.

The former New England Patriots Qb has teamed up with the wireless carrier for a series of three spots set to run during the big game on Sunday (Feb. 2). The videos riff on Tebow's failure to secure a pro contract last year as a way to highlight the limitless possibilities that come when not tied to a contract, which is T-Mobile's new key selling point.

The spots, which will air during the second, third and fourth quarters, find Tebow in pursuit of a handful of wacky activities, like speaking at the United Nations, being a rock star, delivering babies.

T-Mobile revealed two of the three spots on Friday, with one airing during "Good Morning America, »

'Blue Bloods' Season 4, episode 14: Erin kidnapped in Donnie Wahlberg-directed 'Manhattan Queens'

Someone who certainly knows the turf called the shots on the latest "Blue Bloods."

Series co-star Donnie Wahlberg made his directing debut on the CBS police drama with Friday's (Jan. 31) episode, "Manhattan Queens." He also continued to have a major presence in his weekly role as Detective Danny Reagan, who began the hour hiking through woods with partner Maria (Marisa Ramirez) to the location of a decomposing body.

Maria noted the expensive dress on the victim, who also sported a wig Danny referenced ... prompting him to reason the cops were onto "a story with an unhappy ending."

As Nicky (Sami Gayle) left for school, Erin (Bridget Moynahan) walked part of the way with her, dressed for a morning run. After the mother and daughter separated, Erin noticed a van seemed to be following her. She turned into an alley, and as she looked back at the vehicle, a blanket was »

David Schwimmer To Topline & Produce ABC Comedy Pilot ‘Irreversible’

18 hours ago | Deadline TV | See recent Deadline TV news »

David Schwimmer is eyeing a return to the small screen. In his first broadcast TV role since Friends, Schwimmer has signed on as the male lead in the ABC comedy pilot Irreversible, from Peter Tolan and Sony Pictures TV. Schwimmer also will serve as a producer on the project, based on the Israeli series Bilti Hafich. I hear the premium deal also includes a future pilot directing commitment from ABC. Following his 10-season run on NBC’s mega-hit Friends, Schwimmer had focused on directing, helming two features — Run, Fatboy, Run and Trust — episodic television and two pilots, one of which, last season’s Growing Up Fisher, was picked up to series by NBC. Related: Primetime Pilot Panic! Irreversible, which is partially improvised in the vein of Curb Your Enthusiasm, centers on Andy (Schwimmer) and Sarah, a somewhat eccentric, self-absorbed couple, and their trials and tribulations — most of which they bring upon themselves. »
