Located in the heart of the Wynwood Arts District, the CVC has been the heartbeat of Miami’s kinetic artistic community for over a decade. The center provides gallery space for an eclectic mix of photography from such local staples as Miami photographer Clyde Butcher and his candid Cuba and Florida everglades snapshots, to Robert Rauschenberg and many others. The CVC also partners with such venues as the Arscht Performing Arts Center and the Miami Science Museum, to name a few.

One of the few galleries in Miami dedicated strictly to the photographic arts, Dina Mitrani has over 20 years experience in the art world, much of it culled in the twin-global melting pots of New York and Miami. Her gallery provides a diverse visual pulse of established and emerging artists, but also strives to be the core for collaboration and communication among artists, patrons, curators and institutions dedicated to the advancement of the medium.

Formerly the Center for Fine Arts, MAM is located in the cultural brew pot of downtown Miami and prides itself on its exhibition and collection of works from the Western hemisphere. In addition to showings of art, sculpture and photography from the Atlantic Rim (the Americas, Europe and Africa), the gallery spotlights photographic collection works by Maria-Magdalena Campos-Pons, Lorna Simpson, Rineke Dijkstra and Dara Friedman.

A centerpiece of Miami’s revitalized Wynwood Art District, this gallery provides a visual smorgasbord of exhibitions and permanent displays of photography, sculpture, video and painting. Open six months each year, the gallery uses the time it is closed to reinstall additional centerpieces of contemporary and classic expression. Current photography exhibited includes works by Mary Ellen Mark, John Baldessari, Jonathan Monk and Ed Ruscha.

One of the very first gallery spaces to start the revitalization of the Wynwood neighborhood in 2000, Dorsch Gallery keeps a hand on the creative pulse of everything in Miami’s artistic community. This 3,600-square-foot space provides exhibitions, permanent displays, lectures and workshops on a variety of disciplines from photography to art and sculpture. One of the most recently acclaimed, phographic exhibitions on display was by Magnus Sigurdarson, inspired by the occupy movement.
