This 2-day Summit is an intimate forum for library directors, CEOs, and CIOs of academic, public, government, and special libraries to problem-solve, discuss, and network with colleagues. It features a mix of high-level presentations, expert panels, and roundtable and facilitated discussions with lots of networking/peer engagement time. Aimed at library leaders, the summit is an interactive event with leading-edge thinking, collaborative opportunities for evaluating different future scenarios, various perspectives and viewpoints, as well as industry experts.

Not only does this event share research data, put the future in context, discuss issues and trends, but it provides tools and strategies to survive and thrive in the future. Using a scenario-based envisioning process, our futurist, Rasmus, explores the major trends and features of current library environments, discovers the uncertainties, introduces the scenario framework, focuses on the people of the future by building a persona for a typical library user in the future, and discusses the implications for the future of libraries in each scenario. Facilitated discussion with keynote speakers, your colleagues and our experts focuses on trends, issues, challenges and opportunities. It leads to solid strategies which can be pursued in your environment and shares tools for moving those strategies forward. If you are involved in or are responsible for planning, this event is for you!
