I am editor-at-large for ForbesLife, covering travel, wine & food, watches, fashion, design, and pleasures of all kinds. I have been a managing editor of Forbes, editor-in-chief of ForbesLife and Forbes' online luxury editor. I have also worked as a columnist and contributing editor for Esquire, Men’s Journal, Food & Wine and Departures. I've won a James Beard Award and a poetry prize from The Nation. I wrote the nationally syndicated weekly newspaper column “Wine Talk" for 14 years, and articles on topics ranging from Shaker furniture to dolphin communication for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Gourmet, The Nation, O, Travel & Leisure, Us, Outside, and many other publications. I grew up in Atlanta and was educated in Virginia and at Harvard University.
