How government works
The government of New Zealand is led by the Prime Minister and cabinet who are chosen from MPs. The government gives advice to the head of state who is the Queen. The Governor-General stands-in for the Queen in New Zealand.

Voting and elections
You can't vote in NZ elections unless you're on the electoral roll. It's compulsory to be enrolled if you qualify — but voting is optional.
