Awards & Programs

The Marine Corps Association Foundation has programs that are designed to support the Marine Corps Association in its fundamental mission including disseminating knowledge of military art and science and building esprit among Marines.  These programs include:

Commanders' Unit Library Program

Providing funding so commanders can establish or update unit professional libraries.  The funding is based on the size of the unit and commanders may use the funds to purchase books on the Commandant’s Reading List or other professional books to enhance the professional knowledge of their Marines.  To learn more about the program or apply for funding for a unit professional library click here.

Commanders' Forums

This program funds professional forums and other events requested by commanders to enhance their units predeployment training or advance the professional knowledge of their Marines.  These funds can be used to supplement O&M funds to pay for speakers, staff ride battlefield guides and other non governmental costs.  To learn more about this program or apply for funding click here.

Recognizing oustanding Marines through the Marine Excellence Awards Program

This program provides awards to schools and courses to incentivize Marines to superior performance and to recognize Marines who achieve at the highest level. It also provides individual awards for Marine in select MOSs to recognize their excellence in their respective fields. This program also provides recognition to Marines in professional military education programs, ROTC, OCS and the Basic School.
