Welcome to the Marine Corps Association Foundation

Welcome to the Marine Corps Association Foundation

We believe that every Marine is a leader. At the Marine Corps Association Foundation we help develop leaders by providing forums for Marines to develop professionally, exchange ideas and preserve the traditions of the Corps. We stand by Marines with valuable resources through every step of their Marine Corps journey. This is possible through donations and membership dues of Marines, their families and friends of the Corps – people like you!

The Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, that was established in 2009, and partners with the Marine Corps Association – an organization established in 1913 by the United States Marine Corps to fill the void in programs that could not be supported by appropriated funds. We maintained that mission when the Marine Corps Association became a non-profit organization in the 1970s and we continue to meet those goals through the joint efforts of the Marine Corps Association and Foundation today.

When you donate or join you are directly supporting active-duty Marines through our programs!

Commanders' Forums Program – Marines embrace their heritage and the study of military history. These studies continue throughout a Marine’s career and are directly supported by the battlefield studies and guest speakers available through this program.

Marine Writing Program – Marines think critically. That thought process is encouraged through our writing program which encourages open discussion on topics important to Marines, ensuring that today’s warriors will excel in tomorrow’s complex environment.

Marine Excellence Awards Program – Marines reward excellence. Our awards, provided to Marines of all ranks, recognize outstanding achievement in their scholastic, leadership and technical efforts.

Commanders’ Unit Library Program – Marines read to lead. Our library program is based on the Commandant’s Reading List and General Al Gray’s belief that Marines fight better when they fight smarter. This program gives Marines the critical tools they need to develop as leaders.

Wounded Marine Support – Marines take care of their own. We uphold that pledge when called on by the Wounded Warrior Regiment to provide support that keeps our wounded Marines thriving.
