To dogs, there's more to the wag of the tail than meets the eye. A new study found that canines can tell which way a tail wags—and they respond emotionally to its direction. http://on.natgeo.com/17qBHCd

Are you ready to cause an uproar?

Lions, tigers, cheetahs, leopards, jaguars—the world's big cats are disappearing quickly. What can be done to save them? Watch a live Hangout on Air to see the many ways explorers, photographers, conservationists—and you—can cause an uproar.

Tune in on Tuesday, December 3 at 12:30 p.m. EST (5:30 p.m. UTC) to hear from conservation scientist and head of the Big Cat Initiative Luke Dollar, host of Secret Life of Predators and big cat tracker Boone Smith, conservationist Amy Dickman, NFL Minnesota Vikings player Erin Henderson, photographer Steve Winter, and conservationist Laly Lichtenfeld.

Post your questions for our explorers with #BigCats.

And don't miss Big Cat Week on National Geographic Wild beginning November 29th.

There are 2000 Leopards in Easton, PA, what do you mean?!  (But, yes, THIS is a SERIOUS subject).  I am with Brande on this issue.  These cats, especially the less adaptable lions, MUST BE SAVED!
