I think I speak for all of us when I say: Wat. Is there some context I'm missing, or is this really just as bizarre and nonsensical as it appears to be?
What's this......a new comic ON MY ESCAPIST!!!!
very very very very random. Or....I don't get it.
new comic!I've always thought we could do with something more than just Critical Miss, I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Nice coloured pencil art! P.S.A.: The octopus loves you. Feed it.
That is the grown up octopus from the comic which was hosted here before! It is coming back! (I actually forgot the name the artist and what happened in that but it had a pink octopus in it that much I know!) Welcome an let#s hope that this is the beginning of a wonderful comicseries.
Name Game? I doubt it. That octopus is like, copywritten. Plus, it's the size of a basketball. This one is giant.
Don't feed strays, lest they grow to tremendous size and consume your cities. It's one of those preachy moral comics. >.>
That's because they never fed Podipuss.
This....makes no sense. At all.
Prepare for weird, folks.
No. No. No. Read the comic again and come back. Let me know if you got it then.
For all those who don't get it, its because of the general rule of "don't feed stray animals" or "don't give a stray cat milk". Basically, someone fed the octopus and it followed them home. Either that or someone gave a mouse a cookie
Hello everybody! Yes, this is the beginning of a new web comic series, Fraught With Peril. Just imagine it as the Far Side as drawn by a writing team consisting of H.P. Lovecraft and Winnie the Pooh. Then replace the writing team with one crazed genius. Voila.
Welcome to the Escapist. Good luck. :)
I once fed a child that followed me for ages. It didn't help that it kept calling me 'dad' too.
This being an entertainment news site about Internet culture as much as anything else, my immediate first thought on seeing this is "don't feed the trolls." I suppose it could also be expanded to any sort of "don't poke it, you'll only make it worse" scenario. In summation:
At least it's also kind of adorable.
I'm... intrigued. Will keep checking in.
Ahoy! I now walk among you. I look forward to questions, suggestions, hopes, fears, threats and or confessions as the need arises.
I would like to see adam sandler destroyed in copious, various manners please :D
The art style seems amateurish compared to Name Game and Critical Miss, but I guess I'm not used to the coloring style of this comic. The humor is random, but also pretty amusing. I'd like to see more strips from this.
I like it. More please! | |
Yay! New comic! Ever since Name Game left, I kinda wished for another comic to accompany Critical Miss on here.
Something about the art stood out. Simplicity has its benefits. The lines, colors, and contrast are perfectly suited to excessive filtration in photoshop. Simple filter application gives some really interesting variations on the images. this example really gives that lovecraftian horror vibe
I don't know how to feel about my life right now.
So when are you going to be updating, so I can be the first to see the new comic's new comic strip... and then judge you... forever
Every Wednesday morning there will be an fresh update at your electronic doorstep.
I don't think I get it. | |
I can't explain why, but I like this. A lot. Maybe it's the stripped down art? Back to basics sorta thing?
I get that a lot. You are not alone, even in this thread. Most monster encounters are preventable.
I was about to say pretty much this. I am enthralled.
You know, I liked this. Will look forward to the next strip.
Name Game was the comic, and the artist was (forgive if spelling is wrong) Lili Scafari.. i think... She is currently doing the art for Extra Credits.
They're always adorable when they're young. Then you flush 'em down te toilet, and they grow to tremendous proportions and eat your city....
Will the next comic teach us not to walk in tall grass or look strange trainers in the eye? <.<
It's important to appear as large as possible.

You really shouldn't feed the monster.
