Calliou,
This review is from: Caillou Season 1 (Amazon Instant Video)
Calliou used to be sweet, but in newer episodes he is a brat. And it is not bratty behavior that resolves itself and is redirected so your child learns not to be that way. He is just a brat. My daughter gets 20 minutes of t.v. a day - which for a long time was Caillou. After a few days of the new season, she started saying, "don't want to." I could not figure out where it came from - then I saw the Calliou episode. Once it was gone for a few weeks, and with constant redirection, she stopped saying it. Toddlers pick-up everything and Caillou's pouty, whiny behavior is even more annoying in real life.

A great educational show...,

...if your goal is to teach your kid to be a whiny, complaining, chore of a child. Caillou is a terrible role model. And a god awful show as well. There's not even a semblance of a plot. Caillou just randomly stumbles from one event to the next, whining "I don't waaaaant tooooo..." or "noooo Rosie!!". It's just sloppy writing. Every first grader knows a story needs a problem to be solved. Every first grader except Caillou, apparently. Probably because he got expelled when his teacher decided she didn't get paid enough to deal with his whining, or his empty- headed bumbling parents who coddle him relentlessly. Anyways... don't let your kids watch Caillou. Cancel this show!

Let your kids watch Caillou if you want to listen to them whine.,
This review is from: Caillou Season 1 (Amazon Instant Video)
Every time my kids watch this show they start whining and tell me that they can't do anything. Caillou spends the entire show being a whiny brat. And when his parents ask him to do something he whines that he can't do it. But in the last 20 seconds of the show he figures out that he can and is all proud of himself. Since so little time is paid to that, kids only pick up the whiny behavoir. I would say, never let any child watch this show.

This show negatively altered my child's behavior,

My daughter used to never whine and pout and now it is a major problem. We are having to battle this new tendency every day and we are concerned about this new habit rubbing off on the younger kids. Do yourself a favor and avoid this trouble In the first place.

caillou who???,
This review is from: Caillou Season 1 (Amazon Instant Video)
I cannot believe people actually like this trash and let their children watch it. Caillou is NEVER at fault. "It's not your fault Caillou" Really? Give me a break! It is your fault, you did it, now admit it, and be prepared for the consequences! This ignorant attitude is why society is the way it is; kids running up and down the isles in restaurants, back talking, sassy and no sense of value or morals. It's NOT THERE FAULT! It is the parents fault! What happened to respect for others? What happened to discipline? I'll tell you...........people who support this kind of behavior and think everything their child does is okay. PLUS, who names their kid Caillou? Public programming has really taken a dive with this one. Kind of like sending your kid to the public school and they get a prize from the treasure box for doing something they should be doing all the time. Oh Calliou you were so good today go get something from the treasure box. How ignorant.

My kids love this show. It is about a whiny 4 year old and the theme song gets stuck in the head. I have banned it in the house.

My (almost) 4-year-old granddaughter seems to never get tired of Caillou's little adventures. Personally, I wasn't a fan at first; but, must admit this series has grown on me. Or maybe, it's just fun watching the enjoyment it brings to my little sweetheart.

This is not a good show for children. Caillou is a bratty 4-year old who whines until his parents give in to him. Ever since my daughter started watching this, she has copied this behavior. Letting her watch this was a mistake. I DO NOT recommend this to anyone!

My daughter just loves this show. I do like how the parents are so positive and don't yell at the kids. They help the kids work things out in a more positive way. I wish all parents could be more positive and loving. I don't like the negative discipline, I think there is always a way to discipline with love. So, the show is good there. But, after watching this show for a few months I noticed that two of my kids talk in baby talk. At first I didn't know where this new bad habit was coming from, but then I noticed that they start talking that way after they watch Caillou. Caillou does have a whiny, baby talk voice. I don't let them watch it anymore because I don't want to have to put them all in speech therapy in a few years so that they can learn to talk the right way again. I wouldn't recommend the show just because of that...

My kids like this show. I'm fairly certain the music was designed as some sort of psyop to be used in an eastern European rendition prison.
