Sustainability

Most currently grown GM crops were not originally designed to protect farmland or environmental resources. However, the way they have changed some crop production practices may contribute to more sustainable land use in the long term. Here we present the most widely studied examples of commercial GM crops and their impacts on environmental sustainability.
