Jefferson High School Golden Falcon Marching Band hosts annual competition

The Jefferson Township High School Golden Falcon Marching Band hosted its fifth annual "Tournament of Bands Kickoff Classic Competition" last Saturday evening. Twelve bands, including one from as far away as Sayreville, marched onto the Joseph Ennis Field determined to take home a trophy. The Lenape Valley Marching Patriots take the field in a tight formation. Their presentation featured music from the band "Journey."
In a show titled "For the Birds," Roselle Park's Color Guard looked the part with their exotic makeup. Lips and eyes at the ready, this Union City trumpeter blares into a "Star Wars" overture. The Falcon Color Guard was high flying with their twirling banners in an overhead ballet of coordinated colors.
