Clinical Nutrition Resource Handbook

Newly revised in September 2013 by the Registered Dietitians at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, the Clinical Nutrition Resource Handbook is a 'must have' for Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Interns. In the latest edition, more than 120 pages of new and updated information have been added, including nutrition therapy for 19 different medical conditions (eg. aging, bariatrics, critical care, pregnancy, refeeding syndrome, etc). 

The book is divided into 8 distinct sections:

  • Anthropometric Assessment Tools
  • Determination of Nutritional Status
  • Interpretation of Selected Laboratory Data
  • Assessment of Nutritional Requirements
  • Anatomy and Nutrition-Related Physiology
  • Nutrition Support
  • Condition-Specific Information
  • Conversion Factors

The book has been reorganized and is now divided into colour coded sections for ease of use. Pages for hand-written notes and references are at the end of each section for ease of adding or finding additional information. This handy resource is packed with practical information, but is still small enough to fit in the pocket of a lab coat.
