UPDATE, 6:20 PM: Kurt Sutter responded this afternoon to those who have savaged his Sons of Anarchy season debut over its school shooting scene. That includes the Parents Television Council, which used the FX drama’s episode to once again demand that Washington allow consumers to buy networks a la carte. “Obviously there is some blowback today,” Sutter said in a webcast on his WTF
web page. “The PTC — I would imagine these are not evil people, but they’re just not very intelligent or intuitive people. … The fact that these people want to be monitoring what my children watch is terrifying. He suggested the PTC’s “simplistic, dangerous view” is “perhaps influenced by certain religious groups and people with other agendas” which, “whenever that stuff crosses the line into censorship, it’s just scary, not just on a creative level but on a personal level”.
He apologized to viewers upset with the episode because they have been personally involved in one of the school shootings and suffer for it every day of their lives. But, he noted, ”that is a very small percentage of us.” “I’m a storyteller. … I haves a god given gift that I can share with you and perhaps entertain you and bring you along for the ride. … So when anybody tries to take that away from me, or impede that, I get defensive.” He insisted the episode was necessary because the show’s hero, “or anti-hero, is a father of young boys of that age, who’s trying to protect them from the dangerous component of his outlaw life, and he deals guns. To suggest that piece of his life could not impede and bleed into the other areas of his life and that he’d be able to keep them separate — to me that’s irresponsible,” Sutter wrote. “These guys turning these guns out on the street, selling them to people, unaware of who’s using them and what they’re being used for — to suggest that those guns could not fall into the hands of people that were going to hurt other people, including children … that’s ignorant … that’s almost more irresponsible.”
He said he hoped the episode has “ripped the fucking scab off” in this country, forcing people to “have the conversation again” that they always have in the immediate aftermath of one of these school shootings but then don’t follow through on, as the “balm” of time settles over them and they get comfortable and unafraid again. “It’s the Groundhog Day experience,” he said. “For me, the PTC — they’re just fucking ridiculous.
“So again, a big thank you for the people who are tuning in, and until somebody kicks in my door and tackles me to the ground and cuts off my fucking hands, I’m going to keep doing what I do. So fuck them. And thank you.”
PREVIOUS: This week’s super-awesome — or super-horrifying, depending on your TV critic of choice — series-ratings-record-breaking season debut of FX’s Sons Of Anarchy demonstrated once again that you can’t beat drugs, prostitution, slaughter of children, crooked cops, rock music, and death by urine, when looking to gin up a crowd for an aging biker drama. It’s also a really effective way to drum up support for a-la-carte cable.
“The Parents Television Council is calling on its members to contact Congress to express the urgent need for a consumer cable choice solution in response to the violent and sexually graphic premiere of FX’s Sons Of Anarchy, which featured a young boy committing a school shooting, simulated rape scenes, torture of women, and a man who was drowned in a bathtub of urine,” PTC complained this morning.
“Think about the parents who have been personally affected by real-life school shootings – even they were forced to contribute to FX on their cable bills. This is an outrage, and the time for consumers to have real choice has come,”PTC president Tim Winter said in his organization’s expression of outrage.
He dismissed that old “change the channel” gag as “a lazy excuse from the cable industry’s own talking points that does not address the real problem.” Finally, PTC got to the main event: a plug for the a-la-carte-pushing Television Consumer Freedom Act: “It’s time for consumers to have a real voice in what they want to pay for on their cable bills.”
And those faux school-shooting victims will not have died in vain.
Whatever. SOA is an adult program on cable shown at 10PM at night. Parents have the v-chip and can block adult-themed programs.
There is no glamour on SOA. All of the characters are loathsome, destined for inglorious, painful lives and deaths. Anyone who watches SOA and want to lead their lives misses the point of the series. Look at the show’s character Tara: she was a talented, intelligent surgeon with a bright future. That’s all gone because she fell in love with a member of the motor cycle gang.
Sounds like an uplifting story. Just what exactly do people who watch it, get out of it? Perhaps no matter how bad their lives are someone’s is worse?
it’s an incredibly well-written drama. i assume you’ve never seen the wire, the sopranos, oz, the shield…? or the godfather, or goodfellas? things don’t require a happy ending to be fascinating and enjoyable. go back to the big bang theory, though, i’m sure it’s more your speed.
Kurt, You like all of your hollywood buddies missed the f’ng point. I looked forward to this all summer and then you had to go and put a school shooting in the scene. You and your hollywood buddies are fine with abortions that murder kids (call it women rights if you must, we all know the truth!), yes it really sucks that some f’ng crazy people out there hurt others; but in all of the “liberal” political correctness, mentally ill never get identified because it may hurt someones feelings! You have a show about adult themes, with killings, but entertaining, you go in and throw this bs in the mix. The fans are not mad you pulled the scab off, the fans are pissed you stuck your political correctness bs into the mix. Read some of the boards that discuss it and you my friend will find your ratings decline. You and the rest of your crowd don’t get it, look at the movie flops, it is because we are tired of being treated like your servants! One pissed female and ex-SOA watcher!
Well said! i have posted my outrage of Tuesday’s season opener,
because while “SONS OF ANARCHY” is a high rated Adult cable series,
it crossed a serious line,using a child with a leathal weapon,to
shoot his classroom-and popular or not, that is NOT ACCEPTABLE! its
bad enough that the show gets away with serious and disturbing
violence-the most tasteless, which had to be the “Tig” charecter,
drowning the Iranian guy in a urine soaked bath tub, then pissing on the man’s corpse-that’s disgusting! bottom line here,is Kurt Sutter’s
attitude, using the F word in his response-that’s tasteless and vulgar
even for him-but,,when you’re on Top,it’s still a whole different
deal! i hope his arrogance causes him to stumble, because for the
material he’s done,he’s got this attitude, that he’ll walk away with
an Emmy award-and for all that shock value,it’ll wear-off in time-
but exploiting a National Tragedy like the Sandy Hook shootings is
not only tasteless, but its disrespectful, especially for the greiving parents who lost their children,,and all these SOA viwers
care about is seeing their show get more down and beyond fithy,,
because they love this shi!? Too Bad!! i watch this show,to try and
understand what any of this is really about,,but using kids in these kinds of situations is not acceptable-so Sutter can pat himself on the back all he wants to,and tell his crittics to F-off,,but in the end,he’s just another Hollywood big shot, who’ll
belive his own high mindedness, and stumbles! he needs to see what
kind of stuff he’s putting out, because unlike his work on “THE SHIELD” with Shawn Ryan, this Biker soap opera will hit a whole other low,and the next contraversial thing will be the show’s
demise,,one way,or another!
You have missed the f’ng point as you posted. You were evidently a ‘closet liberal’ who can’t handle the truth, reality or just plain can’t handle. Go join the PTC if you want but there are plenty of us out here that will stand and fight people like you to shut you the hell up!
Exactly! I am a fan of the show. I’ll admit it was a lot to take in, in a single episode, HOWEVER, people who watch a show about an outlaw motorcycle club aren’t watching it because its a family entertainment. Its raw, gritty, and superbly written. The actors are great at what they do. I will defend Sutter and the rest of the cast and crew forever. Not just because I am a HUGE fan, but because no one will tell me what to watch. I am an adult. I live in a free country.
I agree with so many others. I can not wait for each season of SOA. I HATE WHEN THE SEASON IS OVER! This hits so close to the real thing. I have known certain bikers and their old ladies. Watching this show I sometimes wonder why it took so long for someone to come up with a show like this. We have seen all kinds of Mob (wise guys) shows, etc. But no Biker shows. I am already buying the videos (DVD’s). I am making sure it will be around a long time. Bravo Sutter!! It brings back so many memories. Don’t let these narrow minded, sheltered people get to you. They don’t have to watch it if they don’t like it and they can block it. Thank God for cable networks. The regular networks are so censored that it is un-real. I thank people like you for standing your ground and for being such a wonderful CREATIVE Writer!! Hope I have not been too boring.
I agree totally with you. If you dont like it…block it. Very simple. Sutter is a genius in my opinion and I think the school shooting was scary but also SOA is the first to acknowledge the realism. I am just so curious where this is going to go from here.Oh what about Tara…she messed that girl up. There again…realism. That stuff happens in prison and it shows people you dont want to go there. I just love this show and it would not be as good if it were censored and it should not be.
Absolutely hiding and not bringing these issues to light doesn’t protect us or our children Meaningful dialogue and continued response
Well said Stephanie
This season opener had so much to take in, 3 days later I’m still thinking about it. Though the school shooting was horrific, it left something to the imagination. The prison rape scene however, was in your face. I have not been a true fan of this show until last season, which is now making me buy the first 3 seasons. I love this show, and everyone who knows me knows not to contact me while “Sons” is on! Good job Kurt Sutter!
As far as the PTC goes WTF? It’s about a motorcycle club, it comes on after primetime, and lastly no one is making you watch so turn it off. Now the other opinion. I have been an SOA fan since the beginning, most the time the violence and sex go along well with the story line. Well if Sutter wanted to rip the “SCAB” off something he should be proud he accomplished his goal. To me the violence/sex was over the top to point where some of it actually got to be a distraction from the story. If you didnt see the “previously on SOA” you’d have very little idea who the school kid was or where the gun came from. The Persians was this just the way to get Peter Weller in the show. That whole segment didn’t seem to work. Maybe its just me but I hope the show slows down alittle just so I can keep up.
Any Parent who complains is Nuts, what do children have to sit in front of a TV at 10PM at night? My dad would have slapped me silly being up on a Schooldays night!
The parents are at fault if they don’t get the bastard to bed in time. Sutter has done a great job to explain how this all went down with the “Bikers” in the US at that time.
Nicely Said! I am a fan to
Wow, have to agree. This goes on in real life and if this organization thinks by not allowing people to watch this show is going to make it go away, well sorry, but it happens. And like Sutter said, censorship scares the shit of me too. Keep up the good work and lookin forward to the next episode!
totally agree we are I free country for now and no one is going to tell me what I can and cant watch I love the movie ppl that don’t like it should change the channel
Well said. This show is superbly written and the actors are amazing. They make it clear in their ads and in the warning before the show and after every commercial that this is a show for adults. I appreciate the amazing talent that Kurt Sutter, all the writers and all the actors share with us. I will also watch “Justified”,
“Nurse Jackie” and Game of Thrones. If a show is excellentand appeals to you, watch it. If it isn’t your cup of tea, have a coke and a smile.
this is a well written show and very truthful to today’s world.i totally agree on this comment.it’s not intended for children and it says that at every flipping break and at the very beginning of the show.so why are these people complaining about the parents who pay NO ATTENTION to this and allowing their kids to watch or watching it themselves.get a grip get a life watch it’s a wonderful life just leave Mr Sutter alone and allow him to do what he has been doing and entertaining those of us that truely ENJOY THE SHOW and the way it was intended to be. Amen and Hats off to him I Love the show and hope for many more episodes of it keep up the GREAT job
SOA is an amazingly written story, one that is intended for adult viewing. Hence the fact that it comes on AFTER children should be in bed. Mr. Sutter has broached a very touchy subject, yes. but it needs to be done and remembered, all those children needn’t have died in vain. Learn something from it. Don’t forget them.
Is this so different from the ‘After School Specials” about pregnancy, drugs, bullying, peer pressure? It’s just not made with a happy ending, and much more graphic.
If you don’t want your kids watching the Son’s then be a parent and don’t let them. Again.. Adult entertainment. and Awesome entertainment that is.
Absolutely well said!
Emily, they need to have thumbs up just for posts like yours!
I am not a fan of the show, I don’t like it. I also have to admit I have watched only one or two episodes very early in the series. I just don’t like this type of show. That being said, the “change the Channel” bit is exactly the way it should work! I don’t care to watch TV in Spanish either, so I don’t, that doesn’t mean I’m not paying to have those channels. I also dislike and do not watch all the “Christian” channels I’m paying for. My response, I simply DO NOT TURN to the programs, or channels I do not want to watch. The PTC has a different agenda, from where I’m sitting it appears that their agenda is to tell me what is “good” for me and what isn’t. I think I can make that determination for myself and my children all on my own, thank you very much.
I have been watching Son’s of Anarchy since the beginning. I knew that the series opening was going to be very violent and intense and it was. Too violent and intense for me and when Jax and the Madame got together I walked away from the show. That was my choice. I am an adult. If I don’t like something I stop watching. Just because I no longer choose to watch; I would never want to take that choice away from someone else. If you want to pay to watch certain shows than by all means go to Amazon or Hulu or whatever version you want and do so. You can cancel your cable subscription and turn off your TV and be happy. Leave those who are perfectly happy with the way things are alone!
This reader hit the nail right on the head….
I SO agree…..I pay for MANY channels I don’t watch. I choose which programs I spend my time in front of the tv with and the variety is up to me. You hit the nail right on the head by bringing to light the many Spanish or Christian channels that aren’t censored. Our responsibility as parents, hell, just as humans, is to make good choices for ourselves. I am a very NON-violent person, however, am a HUGE fan of the show. It is difficult at times to watch some of the scenes that seem more horrifying (people or animals being burned, tortured, etc)yet this program is so extremely well written and portrayed as much more than just the graphics shown. I think the content of the local or national news is more horrifying to watch. Kuddos to Sutter!
Nicely said Paula
I agree with EVERYONE! One other note. I “A la carte” programming comes to pass the prudes will find that the “non-offensive” channels will be more expensive because channels like FX who have the guts to put good, well written and well performed shows on the air will have more viewers. Those viewers, I believe are the ones who spend time with their children. Teach them discipline and respect. Their children are more likely to grow up confident and well adjusted because they have been exposed to the real world and are more ready to deal with reality.
I was going to write exactly this. But you beat me to it. Well done.
Agreed! Kurt Sutter writes a “classic’ study of the conflicts that lie within all human beings, [that is] the struggle betwwen good and evil. Honestly, If children are viewing SOA unsupevised then the choices [you] parents are making should be re-considered. We still have “some” freedom of speech in this country. Kurt is connecting the dots here. His story line desrves intellectual honesty and observation.
SOA is not a social force. It is a trash circus that in the glory days of season one was a thrilling original ride. It is NOT a show for children – never was. I saw the episode in question and sadly the school shooting felt heavy handed and didactic. After reading his interview I understand what he was trying to get at but it didn’t work. Perhaps better writing would have made the point. I miss good writing.
Walter- this entire show is based on a Hamlet style of story. It is an excellent show and you should watch before judging. Did you not go see Saving Private Ryan because of the opening sequence? You would have missed an excellent story. It is the same way- they show realistic portrayals of what some of these gangs do, yes, but they also receive punishment for their actions. Whether it is death, prison, or some other comeuppance.
I think “realistic portrayals of what some of these gangs do” may be pushing it a bit far. Even the Hell’s Angels don’t get into the amount of murderous mayhem that the show depicts. My point is, it is entertainment pure and simple. Real life is MUCH more severe and frightening. All these censorship pushing associations want to do is hide from the ugly truth that the world has inherent evil. I myself find Fox News and CNN way more offensive.
I am a dedicated fan of SOA. When I could not be home and watch each weekly episodes I would record it and watch them back to back. Like stated in so many other replies: It does come on at 10 PM, a very strong indication that it is for adult viewing. Murder and Mayhem is on the news all times of the day repeatedly and in the real world. There are times when the news exaggerates and emphasis their point just to encourage you to watch and react. PTC – Channel (tongue in cheek) your energy towards the real world events being reported without bias or other hidden agendas so the adults viewers can make their own decisions. I choose SONS OF ANARCHY and wish it was on the free channels. That’s entertainment!
Well, let’s see. We get a well-written, incredibly well-acted, produced and directed drama. We get something that is unlike anything else on tv. Yes – it is absolutely dark and grim and the people do despicable things. But juxtaposed with that we also get to see unexpected moments of heart, soul and loyalty. We get true character development.
While some people may feel the sex and violence is overwhelming,
gratuitous (and sometimes it may be) it also represents the world
these characters live in and deal with. And rather actually glorifying it, it stands as a cautionary tale of sorts. It shows that these things they do, the activities they engage in – do have consequences. Not just to unknown people outside of their world but to themselves as well.
I will continue to watch the show until the final episodes and then
probably marathon it from the beginning all over again. Sons of Anarchy is at the top of my list of favorite shows.
AMEN!!!
There are fanatic’s on the fringe of every group. I take offense with Mr. Sutter lumping all those who has a religious faith with the beliefs of this group. My God driven belief allows me to have free will, which means I am free not to watch. Don’t forget, it is also the far left who are the first to run in the streets blocking people from going to work, trying to force others to adhere to their doctrine. Please throw stones at the one who curses you. Although, if you have a right to put it on TV, I guess they have a right to protest.
Sons of Anarchy is one of the best dramas on television because of its cruel and oh so real portrayal of the choices and consequences of that lifestyle. Sutter is genius in his delivery of darkness and the few bits of light we get. He is making a point with his writings, one that is missed by the critics all the time. I’m sure his decision to play out a scene of a school shooting was not taken lightly but I believe he meant it so that people would not forget!!!
Instead of yelling at the writer or the messenger in this case, pray for the families of the real life school shootings.
Just sayin..
Instead of yelling at the writers, and trying to censor Adult viewing in the name of ‘the children’, how ’bout we HAVE the conversation we need to have: about the WHY of school shootings; the apathy society shows toward the miserable and hurting people among us, and children who see killing their peers as an outlet for rage. Let’s pay better attention to our kids. Let’s pay better attention to warning signs, and try to ameliorate the rage. Rather than try to place blame, or ban weapons, we need to know and prevent the REASONS behind these tragedies… the guns are not the reason. The society and culture are the reason. We need to start focusing on being better people, rather than telling adults what they can or can’t watch on tv.
Well Said
I must admit I was shocked this episode , and also thinking Mr. Sutter had crossed the line at first … You have to admit he is a genius , how many other shows get so many ppl rattled and talking . . I agree 100 % with K.Wilson above.
I cannot wait until Tuesdays.
I totally agree with you. My husband and I are in our 70′s and we have never missed an episode. Long live Kurt Sutter and go SOA!
“Agreed” I have all Season!
Well said! I watch all the episodes on Netflix and have some of the DVD’s,just haven’t bought them all yet. This is my absolute favorite show on TV and I will hate to see it end. I can’t wait to watch every week.
I watch SoA because it’s a fictional drama based on Hamlet. Drama and Tradgedy. That is the whole point. I also watch with partial morbid curiousity to see what Sutter is going to do next. The acting is spectacular(Watch the episode Balm), the editing well done, the writing superb. I’m emotionally invested in the characters, and I want to know what happens. Well, scratch that, I know what happens, but I want to see the journey.
Someone just hit the nail on the head…It is Shakespeare at a modern level. The beginning of every portion of SOA tells you the adult viewing. Don’t watch and don’t pull a pious act. We have the freedom to write, watch and grieve. I am in my mid 60′s and have not missed a single episode. I am well educated and don’t ride a bike nor have tattoos…Go Kurt…
People who watch this show, watch it because it’s an awesome story line, with great characters. It’s no different from people who watch dexter, or game of thrones. It’s there preference to watch a show like SONS.
There is a simple answer to that question. Entertainment. It is a well written show with developed characters. It is a far cry from the majority of the tripe that is on television today. In a lot of ways there is a greek tragedy element in the show, and the more astute will notice that Clay and Gemma aren’t that far from Hamlet’s parents. I don’t watch television to mirror my life, or compare to my life. I watch television to be entertained. SOA is one of the better shows on TV now.
Walter:
If you’ve never seen the show, which it sounds like you haven’t, the story, from the very beginning is actually quite compelling. I can’t think of one week in past seasons that I was not hanging on the edge of my seat and chomping at the bit for more. That said, I watched the first episode of this season and wasn’t pleased. I understand Mr. Sutter’s need for creative expression and, in essence, art reflects life and, thus, our t.v. shows do too though in a somewhat dramatized manner. However, when the kid shot up the school I was like, “Really?…. Really?” and considered turning the show off and never watching it again. Not because I thought it was distasteful, but because I thought it was completely unnecessary and further propaganda perpetrated by the media. I actually found a lot of points in the episode which I thought were poor attempts at covert propaganda, e.g., when the fellow corrected Jax for calling the guys “Persians” instead of “Iranians”. They made that point a few times and it just…. took me out of the show.
In any event, you should watch the show form season one and give it a chance, if you haven’t already.
I absolutely look forward to each episode. Kurt is the most talented writer the actors are amazing and deserve awards for their roles. And the school shooting did anybody notice the care Kurt took in showing that it is not all about the guns the child was abused it showed from the beginning he was mentally ill a cutter and the pictures in the notebook. Kurt carefully placed and brilliantly wrote all the effects to let society know that there are bigger issues PAY ATTENTION. I will always be a big fan of SOA
Peter Weller was actually on a show on the History Channel called Engineering an Empire. He is actually a history professor. I thought that line was hysterical, since it is something a history teacher would say!!
Entertainment. That’s all, it’s an entertaining drama. And the story, that’s really it. That’s why people watch these shows.
Do people watch Breaking Bad to learn how to cook meth? No. Do people watch Sons of Anarchy to learn how to become a bada** biker? No.
must every story be uplifting? this is a drama. horrible things will happen. just because this show has bad people doing bad things doesn’t make it any less legitimate than 7th heaven of full house.
would you say the same thing about Macbeth or Hamlet?
What do we get out of it? The same as any other soap…only this is a biker soap! With plenty of warnings at the beginning of each episode about violence, etc. So get off your high horse, pal.
I watch because I love the show . It’s not always pretty but neither is real life.
Ilove SOA cant wait for it to come on every week,I think it get the real facts of what going on out in our lives
You sound like an idiot. What do you get out of the shows you watch? Moron.
Ever watch (or read) Shakespeare? Because the entire series is loosely based on Hamlet.
The shooting was only a small part of the overall seed planting for this season. It was implied not really shown. If Sutter had actually showed children being riddled with bullets I would agree that it was in poor taste. This is necessary for the character arc of Jax Teller and the fallout of all of his activities that SAMCRO is involved in. No one says anything when there is an actual tragedy and every major network is showing the same news story continually for several hours when they don’t have any updates. Bottomline! You have a choice to watch SOA or not. However, I don’t have a choice when the media is blocking my regularly scheduled programming to inform me and the public of a real tragedy. ie. a natural disaster, murder, war, or Obamacare. My two cents.
Amen!!!! my thoughts exactly. No one says anything when a real tragedy like this happens and it is shown on almost every t.v. station all day long and children are exposed to that. At home, if you don’t want your children or yourself to watch it, then turn the channel. I have been a fan since the beginning( I don’t always agree with certain situations, but I still watch it. We all have a choice to watch it or not. People need to worry about themselves rather than worry about everyone else.
You can bash it all you want , but just look at the ratings , and this tells us ?????
It’s entertainment – pure and simple, that’s what I get out of it. I’m sure not watching it to learn anything!
if ya don’t like it don’t watch it
If you want uplifting, then avoid most of Shakespeare’s work.
Ha!! I love this show! And I am a nurse who did time and lost my license because I fell in love with a member of a MC club, and there is nothing glamorous about this show, and it is not meant for kids, and if a kid is watching it, it is a parent failure, not a network!
The Sons of Anarchy jumped the shark! I am done with the show, hollyweird sucks!
Gunrightsfirst? Sounds to me like you’re afraid Sutter is showcasing the reason why so many folks want to ban guns. This is a television show…if you don’t like it, don’t watch it. But far from having ‘jumped the shark’, SOA has done what very few shows are willing to do: put the reality and CONSEQUENSES of a bloody, violent, and destructive lifestyle, in the focus of a huge audience. He’s doing us a favor as a culture, making us LOOK at what we do, what we tolerate, and what we reap. It’s primo tv, and I’ll NEVER stop watching, until the last Harley rides into the sunset at the end of the last season.
Do you even understand what the phrase “Jumping the Shark” means? It means that a show has gone on so long that it has run out of good ideas and therefore must delve into new ideas that are absurd and ridiculous by anyone’s standards. Well SOA is far from Jumping the Shark. In fact can anyone tell me the last time a TV show dealt with this topic? I remember a few movies touching on it long ago but no TV show ever had the guts to even consider this hot topic, especially as of lately. So I hate to disappoint you but SOA is not Jumping the Shark. They are bringing an important issue to the forefront of viewer’s minds in order to get them think about the consequences of their future choices. The same way SOA’s lead character will now have to deal with his past decisions and his future choices.
bye
LOVE THE SHOW THIS STUFF HAPPENS IN REAL LIFE THESE PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP IT COMES ON AT 10 KIDS SHOULD ALREADY IN BED.SOA IS WELL WRITTEN AND THE ACTING IS GREAT.
It’s an adult show if you don’t want your kids or yourself to watch then don’t but others love the show. what ever happened to freedom of speech, you can turn the channel not watch TV or ignore whats happing out on the streets every day but it there and if someone such as Kurt wants to write about it so be it.
This is a fantastic ADULT show. It is not for children, so if children have watched it, perhaps we should be criticizing the parents! It is a show about bikers gangs, drug lords and all that goes with it. If it offends someone then perhaps they should change the channel. As far as the school shooting, Sutters response is bang on. People tend to forget and get comfortable when time has passed. While I feel for parents and survivors of these terrible tragedies..this is a fictional show. and if it gets people talking and brings it to the forefront again, well then good, it should. It should always be at the forefront. Nothing good ever comes from being quiet. And again, if you don’t like the show..change the channel!
very well said…don’t like it don’t watch it. I am a #1 fan sutter is brilliant all the actors are brilliant cant wait til Tuesday!!! Susan
Good for you,Kurt Sutter!!!Only he can give his fans a great season opener!Anyone that expresses their dislikes don’t watch it!
This world it is what it is;Howbout some of the daytime shows ,the news,it is ashame and tragic for those who have been thru traumatic events;but this is SOA,and Sutter always has a message and reasons for how he writes!!!I can’t wait for the next show, and I watch the encore and whatever it airs:This season will be awesome!
As you say they can turn over.off. What are kids doing up at that time anyway? think its parents that need a few child rearing lessons not writer constantly being told to change!!!!!!!!!!!
If you don’t understand that it’s just a show on TV to entertain people and tell a story, than you shouldn’t watch it. It’s that simple you have a say in what channel you turn your TV on. LOL people are stupid, it’s FX late night, and Kurt Sutter is not to blame!! He is a AWESOME writer and creator. Yes it was even a little hard for me to watch, but I’m a adult, and I love this show, and I know that it’s unfortunate that thing’s like those tragedies happen, but shouldn’t we know by now that shit like that happens everyday somewhere in this world. It’s ok for movie directors to put in movies but not a LATE NIGHT SHOW when your kids should be in bed anyways. LOL. Shut up mind your own business and don’t tune in to SOA, we don’t need you PTC trying to take this awesome show away. SOA BABY!!! KURT SUTTER I LOVE YOU!!!
Exactly. It says right before each episode that this show contains explicit material and my not be suitable for any under…whatever age it says. And secondly the whole school shooting came at the end of the show and wasn’t supposed to be the focus of that show but opens up for the rest of the season. Maybe it is a real non sugar coated message that people have guns and should lock them up and teach their kids about them and how it’s wrong not to use them. And thirdly it doesn’t take just a child to go in and shoot up a school as with the events that happened last year in Connecticut. People who are truly offended shouldn’t be watching this show anyways. IE: The Mormon Family’s from Utah.
its not a gang…. its a club. they may be outlaws but thats still no reason to call it a gang.
I fully agree with you. When you disagree or dislike a program don’t watch it. There are other options. And if you do like it but don’t want your children to watch it, have It is an adult program. Your children are children not adults and they shouldn’t be watching. As far as the “scene” causing problems–that is something parents need to be made constantly aware of. Being aware fully of what your children are doing, drawing, etc. The children who have committed heinous crimes have had emotional problems that were not detected. Spend time with your children and change a channel if you don’t like a program because there are people out there who do.
The show is so deep and yes all through out the episode the kid reminded me of Jax. He passed by everybody with such a mystery, You knew something was up but when would we know. Its not little house on the Prairie , Its a motorcycle show on late at night. The weirdest script is after Kurt himself in many ways. Taras life is over with the club. Ables mother misses the life of a SOA. The show is telling a message the guns got here some way n the kid got one poor parenting…..Ues too many parents out there care about thrie lives ,,,Now have something to be mad at…Go watch boyz in the hood ,guns jail, and a message,Soa is a show for adults, with a deep message, when justice needs to be served ,,the boys will take care of it if needed, They have some great heart!!!!Watch they will be the first to cry especially tig!!!!!!
I watch SoA and found all the mentioned scenes disturbing and bothersome, but that is what SoA is about. It is a hard show and airs on a network known for edgy fair and it pushes the line. Anyone who watched this premiere knew they were potentially in for content that could disturb them.
A group like the PTC ought to focus their efforts on any “Parent” that allows their child to witch this show. Quit blaming the content (at least the content that doesn’t pretend it isn’t for all audiences) and start focusing on a level of individual responsibility.
Well said. I am a 43 year old scientist that loves this show! Would I let my kids watch it, HELL no. That is called parenting. We are free to watch and enjoy what we want. If you have a problem with the show, dont watch it. Dont let your kids watch it.
Thank-you so much for expressing my exact feelings. “…that old “change the channel” gag,” is a level of personal responsibility which Tim Winter, and the group of nanny-staters he represents, aren’t interested in pursuing. Never fails to amaze me that this sort of group has the audacity to claim a ‘right’ to quality television…if he’s so worried about subsidizing FX on his cable bill, perhaps he should start his OWN cable network, featuring an endless parade of snake-handling fundamentalists, money-hungry evangelist preachers, and shows about loving the Lord more than Mammon. Instead, he carps about shows of which he disapproves, and refuses to change the channel on the principle that all networks should pander to his tastes? Please. Guess he’s forgetting there’s an ‘OFF’ button, too.
The PTC better be careful – the only group more rabid than the PTC is the crowd that cries “Spoler Alert”.
The PTC confuses me. Is someone forcing people to watch this show? Is there a constitutional issue here? If people are letting their children watch a show like Son’s of Anarchy – isn’t that an issue of the poor parenting. A parents job is to raise their children – it’s not a parents job to tell me what I can and can not watch.
Reading the constitution and demonstrating comprehension should be required if you are going to speak on such topics (and yes I understand the irony) but one of the greatest threats to the constitution is those who voice opinions that obviously demonstrate an ignorance of what the constitution is and isn’t for. Congress should really not get involved in a television broadcast that no one is forced to watch.
Thank you John…they need to stay out of ‘adult’ living rooms.
It comes on at 10:00pm. Why are the PTC kids up at that time of night. And are they forcing the kids to watch? I personally would not want to watch cartoons and reality show so I dont watch them. My son is 9 years old. If there is a cartoon that shows no respect for autority then he doesnt watch it. I am the parent. I lay down the rules. I am quite shocked that they have a group for parents that actually have a say in what is on my television!
Thank you John, well said! I don’t need some organization to tell me what is violent…I watch this show because of the boundaries they push every week and I love it! Stay out of my living room PTC!
Thanks for spoiling the damn episode for me PTC. WTF!
Wow. I don’t like Teen Moms or fucking Finding Bigfoot but I’m not going to go cry to Congress about having to pay for them. The Sons premiere was awesome and the scene with the boy was so sad. Especially when you pause and read what was written in his journal.
so they are more upset with a fictional school shooting than a real school shooting?. well i bet Dr. Zaius will boycott fox news since news corp. which own fox news owns F/X and would be the first to admit that you have to take F/X if you want fox news in that wonderful cable act they want.
“Dismissed the old change the channel” gag?? Dont tell me what I can or can’t watch! You change the channel. Watch the other 700 stupid channels, Pres Tim. If people didnt want SOA it would be cancelled. Watch what you want. Use the V- Chip. Lock the TV in the basement if you don’t want your kid watching it. But let me and others decide what we wanna watch. Yes, run to Congress like a little snitch, you loser. Don’t push your ideas of right and wrong on the rest of us. Don’t like what’s on TV go live in China or somewhere else where they dictate what can or cannot be on TV.
Why?
Because it is a perfect excuse for PTC PR.
I did not even think of that. What better way to get publicity than to go after such a highly rated show. I hadn’t even heard of PTC before this. Sutter please keep doing what you are doing. You are doing it well. Your supporters can handle the PTC, don’t let them distract you from your gift. I guess the PTC has never read the Bible. There is some terrifing events there too. Oh yeah, that has been removed from schools now children are being killed there… Hummmm!
The whole television nanny police is past its prime. All modern televisions since year 2000 have the v-chip which gives parents the ability to control what they’re children can see. If you’re not using it, that’s your problem. If you have purchased a television since before 2000 then walk in to your local big-box store and get one of the many cheap television on sale these days. Otherwise, deal with it. Raise your children to understand that what’s on a television show or a movie screen isn’t real.
I am so with you on the issue of Raising your children to not be delusional. I have 3 young kids myself. I am up front and honest with them at all times about everything. As I was going through the police academy, I had my husband bring my kids over one night so the instructor could show the kids what the different types of drugs that are in my area are. I also explained the consequences of messing around with drugs can be. Then there was an issue of young kids playing the “Choking” game. Where kids choke themselves out to supposedly get some kind of high. I found a video of it on YouTube and made my kids watch it and then talked to them about the dangers of this game. I am a Probation Officer and I own guns. Teach your kids about gun safety and don’t shelter them from the real world. If you don’t practice good parenting, your kids will get curious and experiment on their own. I am a huge SOA fan! I love the show! I say “WAY TO GO SUTTER FOR PUTTING IT OUT THERE!” Yes, it was disturbing, but somebody needed to do it.
Jimmy and Katina have the real solutions here. I first watched Conan the Barbarian (still a favorite) when I was five year old. My mother made me look away and fast forward the VHS through the sex scene (I didn’t know there was sex in it until I was about 12). I enjoyed the sword fighting and the battle. I never once considered behaving that way or that hurting someone was alright. Sensitize your children to real tragedy, not to television.
BTW, I was not allowed to watch the news when I was five.
If you don’t like it, don’t watch it.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Short, sweet and to the point!! LOL!
I don’t watch it, but that doesn’t stop it from polluting the society I live in. Protest is a perfectly legitimate response.
Amen to that!!
SOA, is a show that’s brutal and dramatic. It focuses on a group of criminal bikers.
The Voice, is a show that’s hard to watch and hurts my brain.
So You Think You Can Dance, gives me suicidal thoughts and forces me to turn the channel.
Who’s the real enemy here??????
lmao good one
I oh so agree with all of your comments, and feel much the same way as you do
SO DAMN GOOD!!!! Perfect answer!! OMG I have a 15yo and if I have to watch Pretty Little Liars or Vampire Diaries one more time, I am gonna find a bridge!!! This is adult entertainment! Its so closely real to a real MC it is scary! Also, if you didn’t realize this show was not appropriate for general viewing when Tig said “I’ll cut their bellies open and pour bleach in them” then you are not awake!!!!
PTC needs to sit down. The show is positioned properly as adult. Parents have options. And I’m a guy that can’t watch this because of scenes like those that were described. It stinks, because I loved the premise of the show, but the violence is too graphic for my personal taste.
I am all for our personal freedoms, but I was really outraged watching the content on this season debut of SOA. I also saw last year’s (where they burn a young pretty woman alive in front of her biker father), however this year’s was even worse. Having a 9-year-old innocent looking boy pull out a gun and walk into a school and start shooting to the gasps of children and teachers was OUTRAGEOUS and deplorable. And the scene had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the plot of this show at all. It was completely GRATUITOUS on behalf of Kurt Sutter. I expect this poor judgment from Kurt Sutter, but I didn’t expect FX to stand behind this terrible lack of judgment. I’m not sensitive either, I can endure watching the ass-raping of Kurt Sutter’s onscreen character, I can endure watching the horrible gang bang scene (which by the way, Mr. Sutter depicts people of Middle Eastern background in the most horrible racist way), and I can even endure the drowning of a man in piss. But REALLY, the scene with a child brutally killing classmates; how many freaking lessons do we need to learn from the likes of SANDY HOOK. FX should be deeply ashamed of this content. When those shootings happened last year, everyone was wondering if violence in entertainment is part of this growing problem. I found it deplorable from FX on many levels. When flipping channels with your children in the room, or if the TiVo is recording, they see this content. You can’t “un-see” these brutal images, and we know there are a lot of poor parents out there who will let teens view this material. It is the de-sensitizing to our culture on violence and decency. FX should take a hard look in the mirror. Would you be proud if you affect one of these other horrible blood baths? I’ve lost all respect for them.
I take exception to your statement about parents letting their teens watch this show. Who are you, or the government or any council to decide what my teens watch? You are the very first person in line at the picket stand to protest against government interference but you think it’s ok to let them in my house and tell me what my kids watch?? It is not a show for kids, but it is still my decision to watch it and watch it with whomever I will.
Clearly you enjoy reliving your time and loss through this series. How can watching SOA be healthy for you? Puzzled…
You are one of the only spiritual individuals on this rant by people who don’t realize that many parents are working two and three jobs and may not be home to monitor teens. Teen boys in particular need healthy parenting with all the gangsta rap videos, violent video games and violent tent pole movies some parents just don’t have a chance.
If you don’t think all this effects children between the ages of 8-19yrs. the your are just blind or want to be blind. After gangsta Rap and many comedians came out cursing constantly I saw little boys who would never curse in front of me, made it a point to curse to prove that they were being big because they saw there idols on stage, film and television do it.
You don’t have to be on the left the right, christian or non-christian to see when something is not healthy.
Its funny, I watched the show, and to be honest the violence its a part of the show, you’r warned that its going to be there. The brutality of the opening, to the assault of the women, to the drowning to the school shooting. I sat and watched it all. Now the thing that crossed my mind during all of this and thinking about what happened, was..
The rape at the begining well that was part of the story. When the girl was assaulted and she told her story and there were others in the same situation, I thought well they are saving the girls that were there. The drowning of the man, well thats was part of the story, and a bit of payback. But it shows just what can go on in the world and its a nasty world that the club is in.
The school shooting shocked me, but it also made me think. I grew up and live in the UK, we have seriously strict laws on gun control here. Our police are not armed with them and if the police need to be in a situation that they need to be armed, it falls to specially trained police. Shootings are rare here, and there has been NO incident like Sandy Nook here. Children will find it hard to get their hands on guns
I can understand, after thought why they decided to tell this story. the Club deals in guns, they buy and sell them. These guns could fall into the hands of the wrong people and then tragedies happen. The “innocent” boy that got hold of one.. well he did have access to it, is this because of the laws of the US? is it because more people have them? because its easier to buy? come on you can go into supermarkets etc and buy them… I was shocked at just how easy it is to actually buy one on my first trip to the US.
I think what this story arc does is actually make people think.. this was a TV show, it was not real life, however, it has imitated real life from what I can see, I thing people actually need to think about what was being said instead.
Sandy Hook was a tragedy, but I honestly think it was avoidable, and if this program opens up discussion about gun control and what happens when things go wrong it is for the greater good.
I also think that the story said, I deal in guns what happens if my
kids get a hold of them, what damage can they do. What shocked me more was a real life story of a 5yr old shooting and killing his sister with a REAL gun he was given as a birthday present, and it was said to be a tragic accident. Things like this are more shocking than almost anything a TV drama can come up with…
Dunblane, Scotland…18 young children murdered in school. 1996. Very similar to Sandy Hook.
Dunblane and other incidents happened, yes. But that act was perpetrated by an adult, not a child, so is not germane to the point the original poster was making.
Thanks… you said what I meant to say
You don’t have shootings, just massive out of control non gun violence in the UK. Including a British soldier being decapitated with a machete in the street, in broad daylight. Whilst dozens of British beta males stood and watched without raising a single hand to stop it.
Your country has zero credibility criticizing US violence or gun policy. And I say that as one who is quite fond of the UK.
Get real… You are totally wrong. Kurt sutter said that this scene had to be done because it now sets up the rest of the season. He said in multiple interviews since the season premiere that that event now makes major changes on samcro. Watch the next episodes, Kurt would not do that scene without a reason.
And you know what good for him, to writing that, and not shying away. Sadly school shootings are part of our lives, and why should we shy away from the truth. Every war this country has been through is horrible, does that mean we should not have movies and shows about it? No, it means we need to see it so this country has discussions about life and how to make things better. Good for Kurt to have the courage to start the conversation. If you haven’t noticed this country doesn’t talk about school shootings till they happen. Then we talk about it for a couple months and then we move on. Hopefully this keeps the conversation on this horrible subject. I trust hat Kurt will show us that this horrible situation is a key part of the story that he is telling.
Well said
Really? If you’ve watched SOA at all up until this point, you’d know that they never do ANYTHING that doesn’t serve as a plot point. Before you go making your self-righteous snap-judgments, take a moment to let your blood pressure lower and take the stick out of your ass. You didn’t see a “horrible blood bath” (as you so over-dramatically put it.) I thought it was handled very well, in that you DIDN’T see a horrible blood bath. It could have been handled much worse. There is a lot more of this plot line to come. If you shut your mind to it…good…they don’t need viewers like you, anyway.
Okay, for all of you outraged parents, I have a few choice and carefully chosen words. WATCH YOUR KIDS! Know what YOUR kids are doing, know what YOUR kids are watching, know who YOUR kids hang with, TEACH YOUR children values. I personally LOVE this show. It’s real, do I want my 9 year old to watch? NOT on your life. So I am a PARENT and I know what my children watch and do not allow them to watch graphic programs like this.
Sutter had a reason for this story line, and if you would get off your high horses you would see that Sutter is raising a view of this issue that all your mouth running will never do. So, instead of sitting around moaning and whining about a show, it’s simple, turn the channel and be a parent instead of letting a tv raise your kids and then wonder why they turn into little psychotic freaks!
VERY WELL SAID, I COULDN’T AGREE MORE
Thing I find interesting is that these same people who are criticizing Kurt Sutter will probably buy tickets for their kids (those same innocent kids) to go see Miley Cyrus masterbate with a foam finger; pole dance and perform other sexual acts on stage – really people – it is time to take responsibility for teaching your children the difference between right and wrong/truth and fiction and for God’s sake – if you make the choice to be a parent then educate yourself enough to be aware of what your kids are watching – or turn the damn tv off and read a book or engage them in conversation – or go outside and play basket ball with them but do NOT tell someone else what they can or can not watch
Deplorable huh? Ever heard of Columbine? Which goes to show you that writers didn’t think of it first, a disturbed person went out and did it, then Hollywood just decided to remind us of it. And as far as it having nothing to do with the plot goes, it was the first episode of a new season. This small incident will become the focal point of the seasonal arc. So just get ready to watch it unfold, which I’m sure you will. Even with all your bitching and complaining I’m willing to bet you won’t miss a single episode until this season’s issue is resolved.
Personally I am more offended by the so-called “Law enforcement” dude whose sister was killed by Sutter’s character. Sutter has it down real well with the character depiction of the two-faced type of character which most people agree *can* exist in reality. What drives him, other than *his* style of justice? In truth, if this was real, he would be no better than the bikers, but his character is more of a hypocrite than any biker. A drug abuser whose let himself be blinded by a desire for justice. The scene in the prison was totally horrifying however it too is just as real as the boy who shot up the school.
“And the scene had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the plot of this show at all”…what? Did you watch the show? Did you pay attention? It *does* have something to do with the plot. The guns were part of a cache of weapons given to “Nero Padilla” (Jimmy Smitts character) and apparently the boy’s mother is either the wife or the girlfriend of a member of Padilla’s group. If you haven’t understood it, put it this way: as it usually goes in the plot, Jax (and possibly other members of the SoA but most certainly Padilla) will suffer guilt because the weapons came from the SoA.
AND of course once the law finds out that the weapon might have had its source from the SoA, more problems will arise for them.
I know it’s been said and its a bit trite—but this show is a fairly decent representation of an “illegal” MC (there are some legitimate, “legal” MC out there, you know)—and if you don’t like its gritty “tell it like it is” style, then act like an adult and switch over to some other channel, nobody is forcing you or any other adult to watch the show.
I’ll be watching this season and will, of course, purchase this season’s DVD (like all the others) when its over. Yes I was shocked by the scene and I *partially* agree with Sutter but this *is* a risqué, realty-driven show with millions of loyal viewers who I’m sure feel some kind of sorrow for *all* of the useless killing(s) at schools and elsewhere.
Actually the shooting is a central point to the plot and to the story moving forward…The repercussions will be felt in future episodes…
the show is just showing reality of what happens when you get involved in illegal gun sales, a motorcycle club, drugs, gangs, ect…..its based on real life. you cannot shield your children from everything, look at September 11, Waco, Oklahoma city, even Katrina….those are all horrible things that happen, but it is reality. not pretty but real. I was always honest with my kids…I couldn’t shelter them I live in a very rough neighborhood, they seen things I didn’t want them to see, but when they seen a drug dealer walk up to a car, seen a prostitute walk down the street or heard a shooting down the street I tried my very best to teach them that not all people are good people. some people are gang members, killers, terrorists, thugs. but people choose the lifestyle they live, my kids grew up and are now productive members of society….I am the proud mother of an army military police officer, a college student who’s going to school to help people by being a doctor, and another student working his way through college to become an electrical engineer. so please don’t try to tell me how to live my life or what I can or cannot watch on my television.
screw you,go lay by your box
The PTC whines about a TV show. In other news, the sky is blue.
The only reason The Parent Trash Cult even supports “a la carte” cable/cable choice is because the FCC can’t regulate content on cable and the US Supreme Court ruled two years ago in the landmark case Brown v. EMA that regulation of fake “violent” content in any media violated the First Amendment.
That imbecile Tim Winter audaciously whines that “changing the channel” isn’t enough. What a load of steaming monkey crap. That moron knows full well that if nobody’s watching a show, the network cancels the show than continue losing money on ad revenue(they have to guarantee that a show will get a good Neilsen rating in the key demos), unless it’s the CW.
Get over it already! You DO have a choice what you and your children watch. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it and if you are responsible parents, you will know whether or not your children are watching! GEEZ
BEFORE THE SHOW STARTED IT STATED MATURE CONTENT VIOLENCE AND SEXUALLY EXPLICIT ……. SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM YOU WERE WARNED !!!!
I agree, the rating is always on after every commercial break. I also have children who haven’t seen the show because I’m not a bad mom who lets my girls see something that contains adult material of any kind. When Sand Hook happened, I talked to my oldest about it because they talked about it at school and said it in terms that she could understand. Also, A lot of us have Facebook and Twitter and there was a warning about this scene weeks ago. I saw it run through my FB thread from a SOA fanpage. The warning was there and it prepared some of us for the fact that Mr. Sutter was putting something so real into his show. I have loved this show since the beginning and have the DVDs. Do I let my girls watch them, Hell no. I do think the scene was tastefully done, I felt bad for the kid thinking he had no way out and was a cutter (if you noticed his arm); however, all you really saw of the scene was a window and heard the bullets and then some blood on said window. For an adult show that comes on after kids should be in bed anyway, I think it’s alright. SOA has always had things that have shocked us and this is no different.
This is again same old closed mindset BS. Not it’s not an excuse, it’s a dam fact that if you didn’t like it, don’t watch it. Instead why not focus on real life problems instead of whining at what happened in a cable drama aimed at ‘matured’ adults.
If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. Plain and simple. There are plenty of shows that I do not want to watch. In fact, there are entire networks that I never watch because the content does not interest me or is absurd. I do not go running to Congress and start a “call to action.” Those who watch the show know what they are in for and those who don’t watch should shut their mouths.
How is Teen Mom and 16 & Pregnant appropriate for children of this country? It is not. Where is the outrage against shows like this? Non-existent because those of us with a brain do not allow our children to watch inappropriate television.
Hey you don’t hear me crying cuz I gotta pay for honey boo boo and and almost every other so called reality show on tv leave my soa the hell alone!
There is warning right before the show starts its an adult show on at 10 at night no kids should be awake at 10 I thought it was well played out for the first 1 of season 6
Ummm… I dont watch cspan, msnbc or any other politically driven channel or show, yet, I pay for those channels. I also dont do home shopping, yet, the channels are there. We really need to learn to stop telling other people what to do. Ridick.
The ptc sounds like a poor excuse for a organized whine fest. Suck it up my kids don’t watch anything on fx but you know what I tell them about the real world and you know what try haven’t been raped stolen or wanting to kill themselves or others. I put the people that turn their kids into pansies by putting them in a bubble and keeping them from the outside world at fault for the real life shootings not some TV shoe as easy as that would be. Suck it up, loosen your ties pull your tight hair buns out and relax. Just like you all say it is just a TV show people watch for entertainment purposes get the adrenaline going not to plot someone’s death. Can’t wait til next Tuesday!
SO WHAT IF WE CLOSE OUR EYES, IT WONT HAPPEN IT IN REAL LIFE????? IS THAT WHAT YOUR SAYING???!!!??? BECAUSE EVERYTHING THEY WRITE INTO THE SHOW HAS HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE. AND THE Parents Television Council NEED REAL JOBS!!!! STOP THINKING WHAT YOU DONT LIKE OR YOU DONT WATCH EVERYONE ESLE IS GOING TO DO THE SAME!!! FIRST SOA IS ADULTS, BY THE TIME SOA COMES ON MY KIDS ARE ALSLEEP, SO IT DOESNT BOTHER ME AND IF MY KIDS DO WAKE UP I CHANGE THE CHANNEL. SO IF YOU DONT LIKE IT CHANGE THE CHANNEL OR GO TO SLEEP.
keep on doing what your doing kurt you are a brilliant writer, opinions are like assholes everyone has one…so why is it an issue for SOA but not CSI or Law & Order our criminal mind’s they do the same stuff???if you would listen to what he is trying to say maybe you would understand why he writes the way he does…if you don’t like it don’t watch it,there are many fan’s who will..i for one can not wait till tuesday…soa is awesome love all of you, keep on doing what your doing…..
Ok so why is it an issue for SOA but any of the CSI or Law & Order shows can have the same issue but because those shows are directed toward catching the bad guy it’s ok. That’s stupid!
