The Philippine Development Plan 2011-2016 recognizes this and as such, identified crime incident reduction as one of the strategies to promote and sustain public order and internal stability. (SEPO publications) September-October 2013 (2.6 MB) Republic Act 67581 known as the Salary Standardization Law (SSL) prescribes that all agencies and instrumentalities of the government shall have a uniform salary structure. The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the Bureau of Customs (BOC) are covered by this law which imposes uniform salaries for employees of the same rank in all government agencies. MACROECONOMIC ASSUMPTIONS AND PERFORMANCE In 2012, the economy attained a 6.8 percent real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth, while Gross National Income (GNI) grew by 6.5 percent. The fastest growth rate in the previous year was accounted for by the Service Sector at 7.6 percent, followed closely by the Industry Sector at 6.8 percent. Agriculture, Hunting, Forestry and Fishing lagged with a much lower 2.8 percent annual growth for the same period. (LBRMO publications)
