Dermot Mulroney has been tapped for a major recurring role on the upcoming second season of Mike White’s HBO series Enlightened. The single-camera comedy stars Laura Dern as Amy, a self-destructive woman who has a spiritual awakening and decides to live an enlightened life, which creates havoc at home and work. Mulroney will play Jeff Flender, an investigative reporter Amy enlists to help her bring down Abaddonn, who eventually becomes her love interest. Additionally, ICM-repped Mulroney has been been offered the title role in the Calvin Reeder-directed feature The Rambler, distributed by Anchor Bay/Starz. In addition to Mulroney, Enlightened also recently enlisted Molly Shannon for a major arc on Season 2.
Tyler Perry, who lent his private jet to transport Whitney Houston’s body after her shocking death and delivered an eulogy at her funeral, is now giving Houston’s daughter her acting break. Perry has tapped Bobbi Kristina for a recurring role on his TBS comedy series For Better Or Worse. A rep for the mogul confirmed the casting, declining details about her role. This marks the first acting gig for the 19-year-old daughter of Houston and Bobby Brown.

Shame on you Tyler Perry. Bobbi Kristina’s mother just died from a life in the spotlight and drug habit behind closed doors and you go and give her daughter some of the spotlight? The last place BK needs to be is in Hollywood/on TV. The sad part is the show will see a ratings boost when she appears and she’ll be given accolades for that and want to be more famous.
Stay at home with your grandmother, look into colleges, heal, grow and if you MUST do some acting find better quality than what Miss Perry produces.
If I’d known cross-dressing could net me a private jet, I’d have slapped on a blonde wig fifteen years ago… Actually, no. I wouldn’t have.

You put Molly Shannon on there and I’ll quit watching it. I’m barely watching it now. This has to be a upgrade for Mulroney, his part in Jolene gave me the creeps. The only person on the show I like is Luke Wilson. I still haven’t got over the mother daughter act in Wild At Heart. Sorry Derm, you will always be Randall Hertzel to me.
God! Everyone is so negative regarding Bobbi Kristina! Mr. Perry is supporting Bobbi’s life the only way he can. By giving her a job. I’m sure she is in no shape to go to school as her mother just died! Geez people! Give her a break! She wants to go into show business and I believe the best way for her is to join Tyler Perry.. There are worse people she can associate herself with! At least this man is stable! And a successful multimillionaire! He knows what he’s doing.. Get over it people. There is plenty of time for her to go to school.. IF she WANTS to!
