Fishing, golfing, time at the beach...in short, pretty much like the rest of us
Obama tends to take a winter break in Hawaii, where he was born and raised, and a summer vacation in Martha's Vineyard, off the southern coast of Cape Cod. In between, he plays basketball every couple of weeks and has been known to do some skeet shooting at Camp David. His favorite pastime, no matter the location, has become easy to spot: golf.
This President seems to be on vacation every other week. Of course, as we, the taxpayers, are paying for them...why not ? Unfortunately, it leaves little money for us to spend on our own vacations.
@demej00 False -- the President pays for his own (and his family's vacation), just like anyone else. The big numbers that get thrown around are the expenses for Presidential support. They also are still on the job, 24x7x365x4 even if they aren't in the Whitehouse. Daily briefings and decision calls at any hour of the day or night.
@SomeoneWhoThinks @demej00 please do not overburden ignorant bigots with facts. btw, does the president own a yacht? a family "compound" or ranch? does he own 4 houses like the last wannabe president? has he gone on vacation 32% of his time in office including a 5 week absence?
Was going to go play a quick nine this morning at our local par 3 but I think i'd better save the money for gas to get to work next week.
