Pulte Homes will host a grand opening 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 13 at Dayfield, an existing development of single-family houses in Plainfield.
The Bloomfield, Mich.-based builder will introduce consumer-inspired floor plans and provide food and entertainment.
Pulte offers five two-story floor plans at Dayfield, ranging from 2,616 to 3,413 square feet.
Each has four bedrooms and 21/2 baths. Prices start at $274,990.
"Dayfield is a great community for families," said Maria Wilhelm, vice president of sales for the Illinois division.
The development includes six cul-de-sacs and water views.
It is 2 miles from downtown Plainfield and 5 miles from Interstate Highway 55.
Standard amenities include walk-in closets in the bedrooms, a planning center-office alcove, flex space that can be a home office or guest suite and an owner's entry off the garage — a drop zone for backpacks, jackets and other items.

McHenry-based Gerstad Builders has introduced its multigenerational Prestwick plan at its McHenry, Poplar Grove, Richmond and Williams Bay, Wis., developments.
The 2,133-square-foot ranch plan includes a 566-square-foot in-law suite with its own entrance and access to a separate one-car garage. It includes a bedroom, wheelchair-accessible bathroom, walk-in closet and sitting room.
