Thanks TerryA for seeing if I wanted to go to our sunset spot. After the sun went behind the mountains the sky turned to fire.

HDR image of an awesome sunset. I thought nothing was going to happen and was about to leave but waited a little longer and then it fired. I had to scramble to get the tripod setup in time.

14. Offshore storm cell

We enjoyed watching this cell during our sunrise walk on the beach, and were rewarded with this well-formed rain column. The cell even generated a small funnel cloud for 15 minutes (in the left front quad in this image). Fortunately it was all off-shore so we stayed nice and dry. I wish I had my Nikon with me!

We got our requisite 10 drops of rain here at home, but down in the valley this evening, the whole enchilada. Rain, Hail, lightning, Rainbows, fires :(
