Assessing values of Soriano, other Cubs
While the baseball world awaits a resolution on the annoying Alex Rodriguez situation (like the Ryan Braun saga, it’s not likely to end well), the New York Yankees have reportedly been trying to acquire another right-handed bat, one certainly familiar with the Bronx.

Price Dominates Sox At Fenway
David Price went all the way in the Rays' 5-1 win over the Red Sox. Price reduced his career ERA at Fenway Park to 1.96, which is the lowest by a visiting starting pitcher since Lefty Grove posted a 1.66 mark for the Philadelphia Athletics from 1926 to 1933. It was Price's third complete game this month and he didn't walk a batter in any of those games. Over the last 10 seasons, only two other pitchers completed three starts without issuing a walk in any of them in the same calendar month: Zack Greinke in May 2009 and Cliff Lee in June 2010. (h/t @realericsachs) Price's performance came two nights after Matt Moore threw a two-hit shutout against the Red Sox. It's the first time in 40 years that two visiting left-handers posted complete-game wins in the same three-game series at Fenway. The last southpaw teammates to do so were Darold Knowles and Vida Blue of the A's in 1973.
