First Trailer for the Stephenie Meyer-Produced Austenland Arrives Online

"Oh look, it's one of those Mr. Darcy guys."

The Twilight series may be finished, but that doesn't mean that author Stephenie Meyer is done with the movie business. Earlier this year, a movie adaptation of The Host was released in theaters, and she also produced the upcoming rom-com Austenland. A trailer has just been released for the flick based on Shannon Hale's novel, which is set in a Jane Austen-themed, ultra-exclusive resort. The cast includes Keri Russell, Jennifer Coolidge, Bret McKenzie and Jane Seymour, and from the looks of it, they are all absolutely pitch perfect in their roles. Austenland will hit theaters in limited release on August 16th.

Helena Bonham Carter and Lindsay Lohan Vie For the Title of "Best Elizabeth Taylor on Television"

8 July 2013 2:04 PM, PDT

There has been plenty of Elizabeth Taylor love on Reelz in the past couple of weeks. Of course last week the costume from Cleopatra was featured on Beverly Hills Pawn. This week's premiere episode will feature another one of Ms. Taylor's costumes, and let's not forget the gorgeous Taylor-owned necklace we saw in Yossi's vault. But it turns out that we're not the only ones in love with Taylor, because there have been a couple of Taylor-inspired small-screen movies made recently.

A trailer for the Helena Bonham Carter starring made-for-tv movie Burton and Taylor recently arrived online, reminding us that the Lindsay Lohan starring Liz & Dick was released on DVD and Blu-ray a few weeks ago. With all this Liz Taylor drama on air, we've put both movie trailers right next to each other to see whose Dame Elizabeth comes out on top. Both trailers feature alcohol, bottle throwing, and roaring audiences, »

Chris Evans and Tilda Swinton Star in a First Look at Snowpiercer

8 July 2013 12:03 PM, PDT

"I belong to the front; you belong to the tail."

A first trailer has emerged for South Korean director Bong Joon-ho's first English language movie, Snowpiercer. Based on the French novel Le Transperceneige, the movie is set in a post apocalyptic future when global warming has turned the world to ice, killing most of humanity. Those who survive are living on a segregated train. The trailer doesn't give too much away, but from what we do see it seems to bare a strong resemblance to Neill Blomkamp's Elysium. Snowpiercer follows a similar kind of social commentary movie trend, with some passengers live at the front of the train in luxury while others are confined to the poor conditions of the back. We're not entirely sure why the train has to keep moving or indeed why the "surviving" passengers are segregated at all, but we do get a glimpse of »

It's Kevin Bacon's Birthday, Making It the Perfect Day to Go Out and Play Chicken on a Tractor

8 July 2013 9:25 AM, PDT

Actor Kevin Bacon has had a remarkable career, starring in both important, critically acclaimed movies (Mystic River) and fun, blockbuster flicks (X-Men: First Class). But no matter how many grown-up movies Bacon makes, in our hearts he'll always be Ren McCormack, the high school kid in Footloose who just wants to dance. Today is Mr. Bacon's birthday, and in honor of his big day we think everyone should throw a dance in town where dancing has been outlawed or play chicken on a tractor.

On second thought, playing tractor-chicken seems kind of dangerous, and there aren't too many dance-free communities. So instead, watch these clips of Kevin Bacon prissing around and playing chicken, because really, he does it better than anyone else ever could.
