I've been making this exact recipe for over 20 years, since I was a kid, and just stumbled across it in here and had to rate it! It is easy, never fails, and really delicious!

I left out the Golden Syrup and Copha and melted all 4 Mars Bars and then added them to the Rice Bubbles. Very easy and delicious - I took them to a party and they dissappeared within a few minutes.

I don't use copha and I use 4 Mars Bars. White chocolate on top is nice or add a couple of drops of mint essense to the recipe - either the rice bubble section or the chocolate top for a nice change.

Made these a few weeks ago and the family loved it, both the kids and the adults. Been asked so many times to make them again, that today I've decided to give in. Easy and fantastic :)

I love this slice!!!!! I've been looking for a Mars Bar slice recipe for ages. I didn't add the golden syrup, and it still tasted wonderfully sweet. For the chocolate topping, I made a ganache with 200g dark chocolate, 50g milk chocolate and 1/3 cup of full fat cream. Took some of the slice to a girls night and everyone loved it. Will definitely be making this again.

It's Mars Bar slice so not like there is much that can go wrong but it was delicious. I put a bit of butter in with the chocolate for the top instead of copha and it was fine.

Put in patty pans and drizzled with white chocolate, left the copha out and the milk chocolate topping. Definitely easy and very very tasty. Will make over and over!

Easy to make but I found it a bit too sweet- maybe the golden syrup? . I added rice bubbles to saucepan so only used one pot.

Really Yummy! I have never made or eaten Mars Bar Slice before... but my husband raves about it from his childhood. This recipe doesn't disappoint!! Simple recipe - not too dry, not too gooey. The chocolate on the top is a must... it really adds that perfect finishing touch!! A new family favourite!

My recipe is much easier - i've been making it since I was little. Always get rave reviews. 150g butter 3 mars bars (or 4 if you really like it gooey) 3 cups of rice bubbles Melt everything in a pot then stir in rice bubbles. Put on a tray to set and Voila!

So so so so so yummy, and very very easy. Didn't bother with the chocolate top as I thought it would be too sweet. A definite favourite, you can't go wrong!

Love this recipe! Have been making it as a child and was looking for the original recipe (out of a magazine) at home recently but couldn't find it. I knew it had golden syrup in it and this is the 1! I'm pretty sure we used to only use 3 mars bars, but I think they weighed more back then.

Having read it properly, I would definately melt all of the Mars Bars, that is what you're supposed to do anyway, otherwise the mixture will be too dry!

I made this for a work picnic day. It was super yummy, and ultra easy to make. I got many comments on this one. Only thing I would do differently is instead of using 3/4 of the mars bar to melt I'd use the whole lot. I also found 200grams of Chocolate melted over the slice wasn't enough! Add the extra 50g and it would of make it heaps better

I didn't actually find the rice bubbles dry

I will make this again, but next time I'll melt all four Mars Bars rather than chopping up the forth. The bubble mixture was too dry.

For this recipe i used the same bowl for both steps instead of having two seperate bowls. I just went ahead and used a saucepan with water and the bowl ontop for both stages- and saved on the cleaning up afterwards.

Would also be very easy to convert for school events, by completeing the rice bubbles section and rather than putting in slice tin use patty pans and just drizzle or spoon the chocolate top onto those.

    Question: What is copha?
admin replied at 05:42pm Tue 29th January, 2013
Hello Ilovetaste2912, Copha is a solidified form of coconut oil. You can usually buy it is 250g blocks from your local supermarket.
