Johnny Depp: Why I Travel With My Captain Jack Sparrow Costume

6 hours ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

We've heard about Johnny Depp visiting children's hospitals dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow, but who knew he actually has the Pirates of the Caribbean costume with him at all times? "Sometimes you go to kiddie hospitals and things like that," the actor explained while promoting his latest flick, The Lone Ranger (in theaters on July 3). "I'll just sneak in and go and surprise a bunch of kiddies through the different wards…It basically turns into a two-, three-hour improvisation and it's really fun. So I travel with Captain Jack." Too sweet. It doesn't sound like Depp will be popping into hospitals as Tonto from The Lone Ranger. He does, however, have the bird that »

Mayim Bialik Doesn't Want to Fight With Anyone About Parenting—Here's Why!

11 hours ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

There's no manual on motherhood, and for Mayim Bialik, choosing her own set of parenting strategies came at a high price. The Big Bang Theory star received scrutiny after she wrote a blog post about breastfeeding her son Fred until age 4 and sharing a bed with her two boys in a parenting philosophy called cosleeping. She explained to Omg! that she still faces varied reactions from people after her revelation earlier this year.   "If I'm talking to girlfriends, if I'm talking to random people, and we're talking about parenting, I tell them what works for me and why. But a lot of people want to ask me things so that they can fight with me," she said. "And just »

Nik Wallenda Walks Across Grand Canyon on a Wire - and Without a Harness

23 June 2013 7:15 PM, PDT | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

On Sunday, high-wire artist Nik Wallenda did the impossible. The Florida aerialist completed a tightrope walk on a 2-inch-thick steel cable, 1,500 feet above the Little Colorado River Gorge on the Navajo Nation near the Grand Canyon. He wasn't wearing a harness as he traversed a quarter mile in the nail-biting feat that aired on the Discovery channel. Wallenda wore a microphone and two cameras, one looking down on the dry Little Colorado River bed and one facing straight ahead. His leather shoes had elk-skin soles that helped him keep a grip on the steel cable as he moved across. The »

Barack Obama sings Daft Funk's 'Get Lucky'

2 minutes ago | Pop2it | See recent Pop2it news »

"Get Lucky," the new single from Daft Funk (featuring Pharrell), seems to be everywhere. And if a song is everywhere, then it follows that United States President Barack Obama would be singing it too.

Thanks to a whole lot of editing genius, that's exactly what Obama does in the latest YouTube meme to make Obama sing.

Of course, this isn't just a video of Obama breaking into dance-music song. Instead, the makers of the Daft Funk parody -- the aptly named YouTube user baracksdubs -- have taken snippets from various Presidential speeches from over the years. The words, when put together, approximate "Get Lucky" beautifully.

It's not just the lyrics that make this video worth a viewing. A fair amount of footage seen in the compilation has nothing to do with the Daft Punk song specifically. Instead, these images make the video just a little more fun. For example, the »

Al Sharpton defends Paula Deen: 'She deserves what's fair!'

Al Sharpton is defending Paula Deen?

With most of the world engaged in condemning Deen for her admission of use of the N-word, civil-rights activist Sharpton's defense is a surprising one. Why does he think she doesn't deserve all of this trouble?

His answer points out something that most of the world seems to have forgotten: Deen is currently in trouble for something done years earlier.

"I think that it was not just a thing that she used racial language. A lot of us in the past have said things we have regretted saying years ago," Reverend Sharpton told TMZ.com. "She deserves what's fair! But that's based on what she's engaged in now. "

Sharpton goes on to point out that Deen is, in fact, involved in some sort of discrimination lawsuit -- this is why she was asked under oath about her use of the racial slur. But he »

Third time, apparently, was not the charm for "Full House" star Jodie Sweetin, as the actress has filed for legal separation from third husband, Morty Coyle.

TMZ reports that the former Tgif tween filed legal documents in L.A. County, citing irreconcilable differences. She and Coyle had only been married since March, 2012. The couple have one daughter, two-year-old Beatrix. Sweetin is asking for full custody.

She's also asked the judge to give her sole ownership of the 2000 Toyota Avalon, while asking that the judge force Coyle to split a $200 Kohl's credit card balance with her.

Sweetin and Coyle kept their marriage a secret for over a year, only revealing the truth after their first anniversary. "We had wanted to keep it quiet and intimate for a while, but felt that on our first wedding anniversary, it was time to share!" she told People in April 2013.

Nina Agdal and Adam Levine photographed together in Mexico

Nina Agdal and Adam Levine are definitely in a relationship. Weeks after the pair was first rumored, pictures taken in Mexico reveal the two frolicking together.

In the photos -- taken in Los Cabos, Mexico on Saturday (June 22) -- Agdal and Levine are seen playing volleyball in beach attire. Maroon 5 frontman and "Voice" coach Levine is wearing nothing but a pair of shorts while "Sports Illustrated" model Agdal shows off in a string bikini.

Rumors of the couple first surfaced in May, when sources hinted at the beginning of a friendship. Shortly afterward, Agdal was spotted on the set of "The Voice." The new photos, however, are the first evidence of anything more than coincidence and hearsay.

Prior to this apparent relationship, Levine was reportedly dating another model, Victoria's Secret angel Behati Prinsloo. Professionally beautiful women being a thing for Levine, his previous relationship was with yet another supermodel, »

'The Wolverine': Famke Janssen's Jean Grey gets a poster

2 hours ago | Pop2it | See recent Pop2it news »

She may not have a big role in the movie, but it's important to remember how important Famke Janssen's Jean Grey is to Wolverine in the "X-Men" film series. That could be the major reason Jean's likeness is captured in a poster for "The Wolverine."

It was revealed in March that Janssen would have a cameo in the film, even though her character died in "X-Men: The Last Stand." Star Hugh Jackman explained the appearance, saying, "She has a presence, which I think is vital to the movie, particularly for him confronting the most difficult thing within himself."

Now that presence is immortalized in a poster done in the sumi-e ink style. Posters with the same artistic look have been released for other characters in the movie, including Wolverine and Silver Samurai. The Jean Grey print was first posted by Collider, and can be seen popping up in movie theaters around the world. »

Richard Matheson dies: 'I Am Legend' author was 87

2 hours ago | Pop2it | See recent Pop2it news »

Richard Matheson, author of several iconic sci-fi stories including "The Shrinking Man" and "I Am Legend," has passed away. He was 87.

THR reports that Matheson died in his home in Calabasas, CA on Sunday (June 23). The cause of death was not immediately disclosed.

His vampire novel "I Am Legend" was the basis for an astonishing three different adaptation: 1964's "The Last Man on Earth," 1971's "Omega Man" and 2007's "I Am Legend," starring Will Smith. His 1971 short story "Duel" was adapted into a telefilm that shone a spotlight on young director Steven Spielberg.
