Beyoncé & Serena Williams

The support: Beyoncé sends Serena Williams an inspirational note.

At 31 years old, it would be easy to write off Williams. But she just proved herself yet again by dominating this year's French Open and winning the title. This inspired another 31-year-old superstar, Beyoncé, who penned a note to Williams reading, "Stunt on them Serena. 31 and in your prime." Beyoncé posted the note on her website, saying she is proud of Williams and calling her an inspiration to women.

President Obama & 'Mohawk Guy'

The support: President Barack Obama called overnight sensation "the Mohawk Guy" to congratulate him on his accomplishments with NASA, and on his hair.

NASA's Mars rover flight director, Bobak Ferdowsi, 32, became an instant star when the media covered Curiosity's touchdown. Ferdowsi has a tradition of changing his hair with every mission, and his mohawk made an impact. He immediately earned an online fan base and was dubbed "the Mohawk Guy." One of his biggest fans turned out to be the president, who called NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. "I thought about getting a mohawk myself, but my team keeps on discouraging me," Obama said. "Now that he's received marriage proposals and thousands of Twitter followers, I'm now going to go back to my team and see if it makes sense."

Tim Tebow & Chuck Norris

The support: Chuck Norris says the Jags should have given Tim Tebow a chance.

After a dismal year and critics saying he does not have a place in the NFL, Tebow could have used a little endorsement. Actor Chuck Norris decided to rise to the occasion and defended the controversial quarterback in a column last month, urging the Jacksonville Jaguars to sign him. "Tebow is a player who rises to the occasion and delivers big in critical moments," Norris wrote in his blog on Newsbusters.org. "He reminds me of myself when I used to compete in martial arts." Norris' wish didn't quite come true, but Tebow was picked up by the Patriots this week.
