About this ebook

#1 New York Times bestselling author Dean Koontz’s brilliantly thrilling novel of suspense.

In the midst of a raging blizzard, lightning struck on the night Laura Shane was born. And a mysterious blond-haired stranger showed up just in time to save her from dying.

Years later, in the wake of another storm, Laura will be saved again. For someone is watching over her. Is he the guardian angel he seems? The devil in disguise? Or the master of a haunting destiny beyond all time and space?

“A gripping novel…fast-paced and satisfying.”—People

I was a fan of Koontz with his earlier work, but over time, felt he was slipping and avoided most of his recent work. This "story" was a sad reminder why. It just seems poorly written, not a very tight plot and it was just hard to force myself to finish it. It is plodding in a lot of parts and weak in a lot of parts. Save your money, this is a disappointment.

Love DK and read probably all but a handful of his works. Lightning is probably my least favorite to date. I found the plot confusing to a degree, and kockshka just disappeared, no explanation about him, where he went etc etc... Definitely not his best imo, but entertaining enough to hold my attention.

This book was not usual the Koontz book I'm used to. I liked it very much but I found the story a little to predictable. Probably won't keep you up at night like his other works, but still a page turner.
