The Swingtime Jazz Band will host its May Flowers Ball on Fridayat the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 E. Hibiscus Ave. Tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door. The dance begins at 7 p.m. Starting at 6 p.m., Laura Beers will offer dance lessons for $5. Visit mmband.org or call 724-0555.

The Daily Bread hosts the Fore! For the Poor golf tournament fundraiser at the Indian River Colony Club, 1936 Freedom Drive, Melbourne, at 8:30 a.m. June 1. There also will be pre-tournament events including a Chopper Drop, silent auction, and more on May 31. Face of Change, a nonprofit organization co-founded by Dr. Ross Clevens, will partner with several Brevard County Food Charities to host the third annual Face of Change community food packaging event 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 2 at the Brevard Community College Gymnasium. The Children’s Hunger Project, Second Harvest Food Bank, the United Way of Brevard and the Brevard Hunger Alliance will work with Face of Change to help Brevard’s hungry. The Buckaroo Ball, a fundraiser for Harmony Farms, will be from 6 to 10 June 7 at The County Line Saloon, 4650 New Haven Ave., Melbourne. Tickets are $75 and include a barbecue buffet by Charlie and Jakes. The event features a mechanical bull riding competition, music by Just Us, celebrity cow pokes and dancing. The Central Brevard County Branch of NAACP will host the 22nd Freedom Fund Banquet at 6:30 p.m. June 7 at Holiday Inn Melbourne-Viera, 8298 N. Wickham Road. Guest speaker is Dr. Leenette D. The Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce will host a Business After Hours that includes an art and jewelry auction. The event from 5:30 to 9 p.m. June 20at the Holiday Inn Express on Malabar Road in Palm Bay. Members of the Palm Bay Chamber and guests will be treated to hors d'oeuvres, complimentary wines and the opportunity to bid on donated framed art, pottery, photography and new and gently used fine jewelry.
