The quality standard for COPD was scheduled to publish on 31 March 2011. Following discussions within the Department of Health, a decision was made to delay publication of the quality standard pending further consideration regarding the COPD strategy. Please continue to refer to the website for further information regarding a rescheduled publication date.

Consultation
Consultation and field testing of the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease quality standard took place from 30 September to 10 November 2010. In total, 291 stakeholders were contacted during consultation and the NICE field team visited nine organisations to discuss the draft standard in detail. All eligible comments will be reviewed by the Topic Expert Group and the standard will be updated accordingly.
