Lahore, Pakistan — A man prepares to jump from a fifth-floor window of a 13-story government building that caught fire Thursday. Five people were reported to be have died in falls, while others were rescued by helicopter from the roof of the building. The fate of the man pictured was not known.

Ujan Mudipara, India — Indian paramilitary personnel stand solemnly as the body of a young boy found in the mud from a deadly landslide is placed on a stretcher for removal. Another person was killed in the landslide and the death toll from violent weather in the area in the last five days rose to seven.
