ASEAN Secretary General Le Luong Minh is the sole Vietnamese representative finding a place in the prestigious Foreign Policy magazine's list of the 500 most powerful people in the world. During the recent holidays of Reunification Day and May Day, Vung Tau city in the southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vũng Tau welcomed about 190,000 visitors, up 27 percent over the same period last year. The city was crowded during all five days of the long holiday period. Tourist numbers peaked on April 30, with 83,000 visitors.
