This article explains the Location feature in the comments section and how to turn it "On" or "Off".

The Location feature provides the option to show your location to other users when posting comments in Yahoo! articles, blogs, and forums, allowing you to share your current city, filter comments by location, and start conversations with other commentors in your area. Yahoo! determines your location from the IP address provided by the Internet service provider (ISP) through which you are connecting to the Internet.

To share your location when commenting, make sure that the Show Location box (checked by default) is checked before posting your comment. To post a comment without revealing your location, uncheck the Show Location box before posting.

Note: You must be of 18 years of age or older to access the Location feature.
