Welcome to the NICE Shared Learning Awards

Congratulations to Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, who scooped the 2012 Shared Learning Awards winner spot with their example The development of an integrated, coordinated and family centred Neonatal Neuroprotection Service across the East of England. You can read more about the worthy winner in the conference news coverage section.

Thank you to all those organisations who took the time to make a submission to the Shared Learning Database and share their valuable learning with others.

You can view the full set of conference posters in the Shared Learning Awards 2012 poster booklet and access the original submissions on the Shared Learning Database.

What's it all about?

The NICE Shared Learning Awards recognise and reward examples of how NICE guidance has been put into practice in the NHS, local authorities, voluntary and other organisations. This also gives you an opportunity to pass on your knowledge and expertise of implementing NICE guidance and the barriers you overcame.

Tell us about any problems you faced, how you dealt with them and what others can learn from your experiences. We are particularly interested in examples that also demonstrate:

  • improved patient care
  • how you have used NICE guidance to improve quality and save resources

The deadline for submissions to be considered for the 2013 Shared Learning Awards has now passed. If you have put NICE guidance into practice locally, we want to hear about it, so please submit your example and you could be in with a chance of an award.
