Dear Students, Parents/Sponsors,
The faculty and staff of Andersen Middle School welcome you and your family to the beautiful tropical island of Guam. About 278 seventh grade through eighth grade students attend Andersen Middle School. There are approximately 30 professional and para-professional staff members dedicated to helping your child achieve his/her highest academic, physical, emotional and social potentials. The mission of our school, as determined through our school improvement process, is to prepare all students to excel as citizens in a diverse and technological society. Our two main goals are to promote highest student achievement in the writing process and in math computation through conceptual understanding.
Andersen Middle School follows Department of Defense Education Activity curriculum standards for the CORE subjects as well as art, music, physical education, and Chamorro culture. Special education, English as a second language, Read 180, Spanish, Chinese and instrumental music are examples of additional curricular programs offered at Andersen Middle School. There is also an interscholastic sports program for middle school students and a variety of other after school activities that are offered to all students.
